DO NOT use this agency!!. This travel agency is TERRIBLE! I had the misfortune of having to book my reservations through this agency for a wedding I was in that was located in Mexico. They overcharged several of the wedding party memebers. After several of us contacted Legacy from MEXICO all they did was give us the run around or didn't even respond at all. Please take my advice, DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY!

My Hawaii Honeymoon - Legacy Travel Style!. I had no idea where to start to book such an important trip as my honeymoon. We just got back and this is the message I have for them:

This was THE BEST TRIP EVER!!! I just want to say THANKS to Legacy Travel for making this Honeymoon AWESOME; everything was so organized. Thanks to Cathi for checking in on us. We will be using you guys again soon.

I think if you're thinking of a trip, you need to use Legacy Travel. You can count on these guys to be there every step of the way.

Legacy Travel a touch of personal Service/personal attention. I have just returned from another awesome vacation, planned by Legacy Travel, Plano, Texas. The staff were outstanding at finding a vacation that met all of our expectations. Though we live on the other side of the country, they are easy to work with, like they are just around the corner. I was able to get a better deal by using the travel agency and their relationship with the travel company. Once booked, our agent Marty contacted us personally throughout the next months, with last minute reminders and tips. Every last detail of the trip was executed perfectly and we had the assurance of Legacy Travel's support . Thanks Legacy Travel!

Yay for me!. I ready wrote about my vacation over on Google reviews, but then I found Citysearch so I wanted to leave a review here too. I had a great time with Legacy Travel on my trip this summer.

I don't get to just take vacations whenever I want, so I wanted to make sure everything went smoothly.

...and it did!

We Love Terrah at Legacy Travel. We were referred to Terrah and Legacy Travel by a friend in 2007, not knowing exactly what kind of service to expect. My wife and I are very proud to say that Terrah has not only met our expectations, she has exceeded them, time after time! Terrah is honest, friendly, down to earth and you can really tell that she enjoys her job. She always goes above and beyond to meet our needs, which isn't always easy. Terrah is a true asset to your company, and we look forward to booking many more vacations through Legacy!

Super Friendly. I had visited another travel agency and was really surprised at how rude they were. I almost decided to just book myself online but I really didn't know anything about the resorts and I really wanted a professional opinion, so I googled one more time and found Legacy. I spoke with several of the agents there, Terrah, Marty and Leah. They each had been to some of the resorts I was considering so it was nice to get a first hand account.

Anyway, the vacation was great and I love Legacy!

Crooks. After this review I will also report to the BBB.

We used this agency because my niece was planning a wedding in Cancun, Oct 2009. I paid what was due and asked for an itinerary and receipt. the only thing I received in my email was various offers from Marty that would add additional cost to our trip. I sent another email requesting my itinerary but still did not receive it. I called Marty and he said it was not ready yet and he would email as soon as he received it. Before I ever received mine, I got an email from some others that were in the wedding party stating that our flight times had changed and nobody was notified except my niece. She is the only one that had received a copy of her intenerary in the mail. Since she received it so far ahead of the wedding, she had not noticed the flight changes. A quality travel agent would make the effort to alert you to such changes. The flight times did not work for half the wedding party because it interfered with golf activities for the groom that were already paid for and scheduled. The only option for us, and the parents of the groom was to add an additional day to our trip.

When I called Marty to add a day, he quoted me $1,000 extra!!! 300 for flight changes and $700 for one more night at El Dorado!!! I explained that we did not receive proper notification and shouldn't be charged at all! He gave me to Cathi, his supervisor and owner! She said she couldn't help me and they did nothing wrong. I told her I would not be using her agency nor referring her agency. She said "oh well, sorry I can't help you". She was extremely rude!

I went home that night and called Amer Airlines. I explained the situation. Because it was their change in the schedule. she told me there was no charge. So where did Marty come up with $300???? The next day I began calling Mexico to try and arrange to stay another night. I emailed the hotel manager and explained the situation and told her which agency. Next thing I know I received a call from Cathi at Legacy. She said she was now able to get me a room for $185 a night. I did go ahead and book this because this was my niece's wedding, but still felt the agency should have absorbed the cost. Especially after trying to rob me by charging $700 for a one night stay and $300 when AA didn't charge them at all!! Marty was sure looking for a hefty commission!!

Our stay turned out great because we were with people we loved and in Cancun, but I would not recommend this agency to anyone! Especially if you are trying to plan the most special event of your life!!

Legacy Travel Saved My Vacation. I thought that I had researched my vacation and knew exactly what I wanted. I saw a TravelZoo ad listed by MexicoBeachExperts, one of Legacy's websites. I called Legacy and, while Leah was looking up the price for me, she asked me how I'd chosen that particular hotel. That led to a conversation about what I wanted on my vacation and as it turned out the hotel that I'd chosen wasn't really a great choice!



They helped me choose a better hotel. I did see the hotel we thought we wanted while we were on the van on the way to the hotel and I am SO GLAD we didn't end up there. THANKS LEAH for the help!

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. they are terrible! I have been planning with a group to attend my step sons wedding in Mexico for 8 months. We are now 3 weeks from departure and discover (on our own not because they told us) that Marty booked all of us on the wrong flight. He sent us emails, invoices, receipts. all with the wrong flight information. Now they claim it will cost $1400 each to correct the problem! Now after 8 months of planning we have to move the rehearsal, wedding, activities everything because of their mistake. I spoke to this Cathy, who owns the place. Despite having all the emails and documents showing the mistake she has no intention of doing anything to correct the mistake! She was rude and almost irritated that we were all bothering her! Mistakes happen, they dont define a business, refusing to apologize or take any action to make it right certainly does! There are plenty of hard working agents out there, use them! dont waste your time with dishonest people!!!

Really Nice People. I have used Legacy Travel for my last three trips to Mexico. They always seem to be able to get me the best deal and they know the resorts so that I don't get stuck at a place I don't like.

They've never been anything but friendly. I'll call them for my next trip.
