In Short – This Southern chain serves Tex-Mex and Mexican staples to large groups and families who come to gab over unlimited chips and hearty food staples. The Southwestern decor features bright colored walls and thick terracotta-tiled floors. Classic El Chico combinations, around since the company started in 1940, heap tamales, cheese enchiladas and refried beans on one plate. Tex-Mex items represent tastes for fajitas, soft tacos and enchiladas verde.

I went to this el chico location in Garland and ordered a Brisket burrito with chipotle wine sauce it was delicious. Juan was my waiter and recommended a great plate and the avacado salad and corn make great sides to go with it.

I went in to have a drink and the waiter Juan offered me a Topshelf Rocks margarita which was very good and was perfect after a long day at work! Anyone looking for a great tasting margarita this is the place to stop. it's kinda hard to find easiest way is go to 635 and northwest hwy and turn into Eastgate (street is right by Racetrac and 635) and follow it down it is located on the left side. Oh and ask for Juan.
- Pros: Best Margaritas in town!
