I don't understand the comments about 'rudeness'. Perhaps they're old and something has changed more recently. I've been a dozen or so times in the last month. The staff has been exceptionally helpful since day 1. They helped me make a gun selection - even suggested I look for a specific model that they didn't stock before I purchased. It gets busy in there - but if you need personal attention, or direction, you can absolutely get it - just ask! I did... I'd shot at outdoor ranges before and was looking for something closer. Something must have changed because Yelp had a decent number of similar reviews - I personally think the place is GREAT. If you're reading these reviews for the first time and were considering checking out Bullet Trap - give it a shot - clearly something has changed.

I should also mention that they appear to VERY "female friendly" most nights when I'm shooting there are lots of women taking classes and just shooting in general. They've also been great with my kids... so honestly... I'd highly recommend Bullet Trap.

A terrific range. I found this shooting range to be helpful, courteous, and friendly. I do not expect their prices on ammo to be competitive to the larger stores such as Cheaper Thank Dirt or Walmart---they do not have the same buying power, but it sure is convenient when you are ready to shoot and discover you need additional ammo!!! Good selection of guns and accessories. And they were excellent when I sold guns on consignment.

Rude & Not Helpful. Walked in with my wife intending to try out a few guns/shotguns/rifles in order to learn about our preference for home protection. We were referred to this location by Cabela's since we had been shopping for a couple of weeks. When we walked we were immediately told to sing in and there would be a 45 minute wait. Turned in my ID and my wife forgot hers so they wouldn't let her shoot - we are in our 30's so didn''t fully understand the concern...no explanation was provided and no additional staff member was available to discuss further. Nevertheless, they immediately told us there would be no point in waiting because she would not be able to shoot. Could have been handled differently and given us an opportunity to at least get familiarized with the shooting range to better understand the process... if not for this first visit for future visits...which there will be none after that experience. Rude behavior; does not surprise me according to other reviews about them...wish I would have read these first - waste of time.

Bullet Trap is RUDE. This place was incredibly RUDE to me and my family! We purchased a new pistol and a used rifle from here. The used rifle stopped working after the first time we shot it at their range. When we asked them to take a look at it, they got defensive and customer service went out the window. The supervisor was even worse. We asked for our membership fee back. We will NEVER SHOOT at Bullet Trap in Plano, TX again!

RUDE, NASTY!!!. Seems to have a new owner, but is still a nasty place with the rudest stuff around in town. DON"T GO THERE

Very Helpful for first timer!. I am preparing for my CHL and went to Bullet Trap to try out one of their test/rental guns and shoot. The facility was awesome. I walked in knowing absolutely nothing about firearms or what I wanted (on a Wednesday night). The staff was really nice, showed me several guns and explained the benefits / negatives about the guns, how to handle, how to load, etc. They were patient and nice. I would absolutely recommend this place.

Rude, Rude, Rude!. If you are new are are looking for helpful, informative customer service then this is definitely NOT the place for you. If you walk in the store, god forbid you might have a question for any of the snotty, never-available staffers. If they choose to deem you worthy and actually help you instead of letting you wander around the store helplessly, their haughty attitudes will make you wish they left you alone.

Do yourself a favor and find a competitor and give them you business instead. You'll thank me later.
