Great Place!. I have been eating at this place for 10 years and have always enjoyed it! The brisket and hot rolls is delicious and the staff is very friendly. I will say that the girls that pass the rolls have a tough time occasionally keeping up with the demand. The place is packed everytime I go. I have eaten at about a dozen Spring Creeks but the one in Richardson is by far the best.

WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED FROM A MANAGER!!!!!. My husband and I love BBQ and the two of us and his two kids had dinner at SPRING CREEK BARBECUE in RICHARDSON, TX. LOCATED AT 270 N. CENTRAL EXPRESSWAY. On October the 29TH of 2008 we received THE WORST SERVICE EVER! We stood in line for 30 minutes and usually have fresh bread served within a couple of minute after we have taken a seat. We all finished our meal before any bread was served and when it finally was served it was over cooked because the two girls who were supposed to be making the bread was too busy talking to one another than caring about the customers who were waiting on their fresh baked bread!!!.. My husband noticed another customer talking to the manager so he decided to say something as well and the manager told him that he needed to sit down and shut up and that he didn't need any bread very loudly across the room. I was about 20 feet across the room and I could clearly hear what he had said to my husband. I was very upset at what happened and I highly suggest that you do not dine at this restaurant!!!! THE SERVICE AND MANAGMENT IS THE WORST...

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.. In its previous life, this restaurant was noted for its fine, hot, in-house baked rolls. Sadly, that is no longer the case.

In mid-November on a mid-week night, during the dinner hour, the gal at the oven never quite got around to bringing rolls to our table, or any other table for that matter.

Last night, a Monday night in mid-December, we gave them another chance: MISTAKE! Two girls at the oven and a manager type man, who was either distracted or distracting, provided one pass through the dining room after we had completed the meal. That was 35 to 40 minutes after we sat down.

To make matters worse, the rolls served with the meal were flat, cold and hard.

There are better places for barbecue in Richardson.

Friendly staff, Great place to get barbeque. We were trying to figure out where to go one night when we were visiting my uncle in Dallas. He called up one of his friends (a man with a supposed great taste for barbeque) and asked where he thought the best barbeque in Dallas is. His friend said Spring Creek. And, alas, his friend was quite correct. I love the food there. The rolls were a highlight! The sauce on the ribs was exquisite! Far better than any I'd tasted before. It is now our official spot to get barbeque every year when we visit my uncle. The staff is friendly and have great demeanors. It's a greatly wonderful place to go, and I can't wait to return!

North Texas barbecue chain that sells its original sauce in the bottle dishes up choice cuts in a friendly atmosphere.. The Scene
Walking into Spring Creek feels a lot like walking into a log cabin devoted to the enjoyment of barbecue. Patrons grab a tray and choose from an array of meat behind the counter. The dining room features wooden tables and cozier booths. While customers feast, servers circle the restaurant with baskets of complimentary freshly baked bread.

The Food
The menu is classic barbecue with beef brisket, sausage, ribs, turkey, ham and chicken. The ribs are juicy and go well covered in the Spring Creek sauce. Customers are encouraged to stack as much veggies (slaw, beans, potato salad, etc.) they can fit on the rest of the plate. Free seconds of veggies are available. Brisket is sliced thin and the sausage is juicy. Unusual for a barbecue joint, the bread rolls here are a real highlight. Save room for a scoop of Blue Bell ice cream or some cobbler.
