McCain's Auto & AC Repair

Actual price well-exceeded original quote.. I can't even give them one star, but I had to in order to publish my review. I was quoted a price of $300 in addition to the $80 diagnosis to have my air conditioning repaired. I clarified that this was an all-inclusive price and was assured that it was. About an hour after I left my vehicle there, I received a call and was told that an additional part was needed at the tune of $250. Something didn't ring true, so I did a little research. The part was less than $40 and would take no more than 30 minutes to install. I called a two other auto repair shops to confirm my findings before calling McCain's back to cancel the job. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, it was obvious someone had smoked inside. They claimed no one at their shop smoked. My car did not smell that way when I dropped it off. Needless to say, I am really not happy about the price gouging or the disrespectful manner in which my vehicle was treated after I chose to take my business elsewhere. I have since found an auto repair shop that was highly recommended by friends, Star Auto Repair. They are honest, do excellent work for less, and use factory parts.…
