I purchased a groupon for this salon and called for the very best stylist for highlights and a haircut. I was told that this person has been there for a long time and is the number one stylist and she could be trusted all the way. I made it very clear to hear that I wanted no gray and both highlights and lowlights and my base color to be evenly blended for a small natural highlighted and professional look. I was told that the gray would nicely blend and no gray. WOW WOW WOW. She put my sides up so I did not notice the gray temples until I got home and took down the sides. I immediately called and was told to come in and get another toner and that the charge would be an additional amount and to buy a shampoo also. WOW, I just got my hair done and expected it be done correctly. I washed my hair with a top shampoo that does not fade color out and my color was washed away. I called and again complained and I was told we do not fix anything for free and now you must pay. My hair looks like straw and is so ugly. I was in tears. I then called Groupon and they contacted the merchant and the owner tried to get me to come back with another stylist who was just hired a week ago and my stylist was no longer working at the salon. I asked why and got the run around and phone slammed in my face so I asked for the owner and was told a coupon was in the mail which I never received so I called and asked why and the receptionist was very rude and nasty. I was told I was the rude one. I then received a letter stating my stylist was now gone and here is a free haircut etc. I called and got the phone slammed in my face and asked for Ron the manager and he never returned my call. I called in the morning and had the phone slammed in my face. I called back and they slammed the phone in my face and booted me away and tried to scare me by saying I was bothering them and more when it was their lousy and unprofessional service. They tried to scare me with the police and I told them that what this salon had done to me and how awful my hair looks etc and how nasty they have been. They told me I was right to walk away and to not trust Jon Scott ever again. Beware big time.
My original post 6/30 &quot;I left crying. I used a groupon, which they up sold me on because they said my hair color had green unflattering undertones. The color isn't bad, but I don't think it was before either. The highlight are too chunky after I asked for natural. The big problem was my hair cut and style. My bangs were cut WAY too short. You know the albino tourtoure from The Princess Bride? Yeah...they look like that. The only thing I can do now is wait for them to grow out. It didn't help that my hair was stilled like my over 50 year old mother would do her hair. After I styled it myself the only painful part is my bangs. They said the are sending me a coupon for a free haircut becuse of the cut mess.horrible" 6/30/13

I do not need your help finding a new stylist,in fact it seems you need MY help finding a good stylist. How is it that you feel the proper response to my review was to try to find me another stylist? You should be asking what you can do to repair the reputation of your salon. A refund for the cut and highlights would be great, but I doubt you will do that so a color correction would work too. Giving a horrible tear inducing hair cut then trying to mend the mistake with a coupon for another hair cut is ridiculous. It is like getting food poisoning from bad fish, then being offered more fish.
If you are sorry, and would like to fix this please offer a refund and/or a color correction. I tried to be nice, but the color is wrong as well. I went to another stylist for help and she informed me that there is nothing that can be done about my bangs but hope my hair grows quickly, that the other stylist thinned my hair (I asked to make sure NOT to do that) as well as cut it in a way that my hair has to be styled flipped out, the color is wrong, and the high lights are too wide. this is BY FAR the WORST experience I have ever had at a salon and I have even gone to beauty schools to get my hair done before.
I am going to make sure to post my review every place I can, tell as many people as I can,and do my best to make sure that not another person will EVER have to go through what I am having to deal with. If you feel you can fix this some how, or try to, I will also make sure that information is known. Until then I am going to keep sharing my complete honest experience.7/20
AVOID THIS SALON. After my favorite stylist left there, I got a coupon to come back for a free service so I thought "how bad could it be?"... it was so bad... really bad. I have long hair, which they insisted the best way to cut long layers was to flip my head over and let them wack away... and wack away they did... much shorter than I had asked and extremely uneven. I think my 4-year-old niece cold have done a better job. Then it was time for the highlights... or should I say blotchy streaks 1/2" from my scalp, which they over-processed and charged me more for a toner to help correct it. Three hours of torture and I looked like someone dared me to cut and color my own hair while I was drunk. OMG, lessoned learned... I will NEVER go back, even if it's free. And I also learned that my tip was paid out of the stylists check... that is wrong wrong! SO this place steals too. Just keep away... beware. Korean owners too. This place is the farthest thing from aveda concept. It is a concept of horrible hair.
Thanks Daisy, I love my color and highlights !! – I've been going to the same stylist for the past 10 month, but I've been told that my hair needs a change because it has been mistreated, dry, and had more than three colors. It was red, orange, blonde, and dark roots. I was scared to try someone else, but I finally decided it was about time to make it happen. I called Jon Scott Salon and they gave me an appointment with Daisy. She explained me the process and she told me she was going to have to use a couple of formulas on my hair. She also strongly, recommended hair treatment after the whole process. I told her all I was asking for was, a color base without red, orange, or brassy looking. I was afraid that my hair would get worse then it already was, but she seemed confident in what she was doing. I relaxed myself and she started getting to work. The results were amazing! She gave me beautiful blonde highlights, and a nice base without red tones just like I wanted. I love my haircut and the treatment she did on my hair. She Suggested a shampoo and conditioner that is going to help keep my hair in healthy conditions. Im looking forward to coming back again. I really love my hair!!
this stylist is very professional and awesome!! – THE STYLIST IN THIS REVIEW IS AWESOME. I HAVE KNOW HER FOR A LONG TIME AND SHE HAS NEVER BEEN ANYTHING BUT PROFESSIONAL KIND CONSIDERATE AND VERY TALENTED. THIS SOUNDS COMPLETELY FABRICATED AND I DONT BELIEVE A WORD OF IT SO MY ADVICE IS TO GIVE HER A TRY. YOU WONT REGRET IT. Really Bad Experience – I moved from L.A not too long ago, I asked one of my friends where I could go get my hair done. She reffered me to Jon Scott and told me how happy she is with her stylist. I called to make an appointment last week, but that I made a mistake by forgetting the name of my friends stylist. Anyways, I called and one of the Stylist answered and I explained the situation to her. She told me she was going to take care of me. She mentioned that he has been in the hair buisness for 20 years, she also mentioned that the rest of the stylist has had no expirience at all and they will ruin my hair. So I immidietly made an appointment with her. I finally went to Jon Scott, and a blonde lady, about in her 60's. I cut my hair and color done and the results were a disaster. She seemed as if she was in hurry while doing my hair. She mentioned again how un experienced all the stylists were. I was very unhappy, but I am not a person to argue and especially not in public. Like mentioned before, I got a horrible color, cut, and really bad blow dry. I will never go back to that stylist ever again.

Laurie Ryan is Amazing – I called to get my hair done only to find out my stylist was no longer there. But was given the option to use a new stylist they just hired. A little hesitant, I went a head and took a chance, and thank god I did. Laurie is a seasoned stylist that just moved to the area and can I just say she is amazing. I told her I wanted something new and fresh and that's just what I got. She was so easy to talk to and her ideas where right on. I have gotten more compliments with my new color and cut than I ever have before. Thank you Laurie for a great job....
Disappointed!!!!! – So, I did not have a good experience and rather than making it public, I emailed the salon twice with no reply!!! I received an email asking me how my service was, so I decided to reply and let them know. They did not even have the courtsey to email or call me! I will be telling everyone I know - not to go there!

Thank you for the email and opportunity to give you feedback on my experience. I have to say I am usually a very easy going person, and I am not confrontational. I went in for a color and cut. The color was ok. The cut was another story. When she was cutting it, she kept saying how cute this cut was going to be. So when she was done styling it - she knew I did not like it and I verbilized I did not like it and was not what I was expecting. I re-looked at the picture I had and said I dont look anything like this. She said I should not expect to look like that because we don't have the same hair types - hers was a lot more thick and mine was thinner. Myself, not being a professional in this area, did not know that - I feel this should have been explained to me when I asked her if my hair can look like this. Her answer should not of been yes - it should have been, yes but.... So knowing I was unhappy - she said lets blow it out straight and see what you think - maybe just style it different. So we re-washed and she she tried to restyle it again. Now I am hatting it even more!!!!! I know she could see it in my face because she kept telling me, "I'm sorry you don't like it." I felt like I looked like a boy with a bad "bob" haircut. I asked her if we can make it a little shorter with a little more style to it, and went back to my first picture I showed her - she told me that would be an entirely new cut, and her next client was here and she did not have time to do anything about it. So I paid $140 and left.I called my husband and cried all the way home.
I feel like more should have been done before I left very upset. I understand she had another client waiting, but at the same time she let me walk away upset and dissatisfied. There were 2 other hair stylist that were standing there without clients, so she could have talked with them or a manger to see what could have been done before I left. I feel that this was not very good customer service.
So I woke up Sunday and tried to style it, but I was unable to do anything with it. So, I called another salon and went for another haircut. I did not tell them who I originally went to because I don't feel that is the right thing to do. However, they did show me in many spots in my hair where the haircut was not even or correct. For instance, the cut I left with looked straigth across the bottom with spiked up. However, when you comed the hair straight down - there were 3 chucks that lye past the base of the line. So when you styled it up, you did not noice, but when you combed it down - it was really bad. Then she took each side of my hair where the cut should have been even on both sides and it was about 1" off - a hugh difference. It was like this all over - very uneven. Now I also wanted layers all over, and on the sides were two blunt cuts that were uneven to each side also. Once the lady re-cut my hair properly, I had no problems with correcly sytling my hair. I am sorry I had this experince and feel I did not receive $140 worth of services in which I paid for. I just thought you should be aware of my recent experience.

Best hair cut I've had in many years – I needed a hair cut and wanted to change hairdressers and a friend recommended Dixie at the Jon Scott salon, so I made an appointment with Dixie. She gave me the best haircut that I've had in many years. I hear that she is also a great colorist. I will definitely go to Dixie from now on. I highly recommend her and the salon staff is very friendly and professional.
Nothing less than excellence! – I have been going to Amphon for years. Not only does she give incredible haircuts, her infectious smile and laughter will make the rest of the day a good one! Amphon is by far, the best stylist ever.
