Great location and staff. My family and I have been with Dr. Taroyan for over 15 years and only experienced the "best" in eye care. I highly recommend Dr. Taroyan and Omni Eye Care.
THE BEST OF THE BEST – My whole family has been going to Dr.Taroyan for years, and we love him! He knows what he is doing and he does it great! The entire staff there is very friendly and will always attend to your needs and help you get the best deals. His office is very nice and comforting. I enjoy every appointment I have ever had there. If you need great eye care, then Dr. T is the place to be!
Great location, awesome staff! – I'm not sure what the previous reviewers are talking about, but I highly doubt it's the worst place he's ever been EVER. I loved the staff. They are all so sweet and helpful and very honest when I was trying to find a frame - not just trying to make me buy the most expensive ones.
I've been a long-time customer (over 6 years, at both locations) and they've always cleaned every equipment piece with alcohol wipes before and after I use it.
The doctor is extremely thorough. I have really bad eye sight he's always been very sure to monitor even the slightest changes.
I've never had a problem with my insurance. The lady up front is really good at making sure I'm all covered and good to go with what I need.
Great friendly service! – I go to the Omni Eye Care Center every year and have never had a bad or difficult experience.
Dr. Taroyan is a great doctor and is always very thorough in his procedures. I took my grandmother there and even though she does not speak English, she was greatly taken care of.
I've never left this office with any problems and recommend it greatly!
Avoid at ALL costs – This is the worst place I have EVER been to regarding any medical service I have ever received in my entire life. First of all, two out of the three receptionists were awful. Both are ugly and rude, give an unfriendly environment, and seems like they don't even get along with each other. The place seems empty and not a large selection of glasses. All the expensive ones. I'm not even sure they cleaned the equipment I used. ALSO, it didn't even seem like they knew what they were doing or how to use the equipment. She just kept moving me around. Usually, when I go to an optomestrist, it doesn't take that long to use the equipment stuff. This is just ridiculous. Simply unprofessional.
Next, the doctor doesn't even seem to care about the patient's needs. My examination possibly lasted like 5 minutes. He seemed standoffish and didn't even try to make conversation. The methods he used to check my eyes were awful. Didn't even seem like he thoroughly checked them. My eyes still feel different, and I know for a fact that they are a different presciption but he both put them as the same one. Thus, I still get headaches from the unevne prescription. He didn't even change the screen where you read off the letters. That's just lazy and not high tech. I can just memorize the words and it doesn't even help.
Finally, THIS PLACE A FREAKING RIP OFF! It costed $132 just to get my lens done, and the receptionist just kept saying how they're giving me such a DEAL?! Seriously, first, don't even try to bargain with us by saying it's a "deal." Doesn't that just sound rude? Oh, we're giving you a deal that's why we're so good. Nonsense. They say I can only get 2 boxes of contacts len, which is like a 3 months supply. My insurance is supposed to pay for 6 months supply. Why the hell am i getting 2.5 months!?
Ultimatley, their eyeglasses and contact lens exams ARE WAY OVERPRICED. They don't even care about their patients and just try and rip you off. Never EVER go here again.
Avoid this place; Would rather profit from your benefits. – January-2007
My wife and I visited this office for routine eye exams and a contact lens evaluation, as we have done for many years (albeit, at other doctors).
However, on this occasion, at Omni Eye Care Center with Dr. Markar Taroyan, we were surprised to see our bill so high. To top it all off, we did not have anything left of our VSP benefits to get contact lenses.
In past experiences, we have seen contact lens evaluations for around $30-$35 with great doctors. But, in this instance, we were charged $135, totally eliminating our VSP benefit and basically giving this center $100 that we could have used for contact lenses. It seems they would rather profit from my VSP benefit. I have never been robbed so insidiously.
The worst part was being surprised about this when normally we expected to leave with contact lenses. I feel so burned and I wish there were some other recourse.
