no complants here!. I've ate at this resturant for many years, since they were starting out in a small warehouse community off of Gross road. Since then, they have opened up a few more locations. I have visited this particular location, and the food is still great. The food is not bland at all. They make fresh tortillas, great cheese enchiladas, awesome chicken quesadillas(my favorite), and one of the best hot sauce recipes I know of. Yes, this is Tex-Mex, not Mexican food, so if you are looking for Authenic Mex-Mex, you should get closer to downtown area or other such areas. Great - Great food.
Pretty bland. I was hoping for something a little more flavorful. My wife and I were both disappointed and will not return.
Vaya Con Tino.
Si, this is not a Mexican Restaurant, it is Tex-Mex and Tex-Mex as good as you'll find anywhere. I am half Mexican so I guess that makes me as much, if not more, of an expert than anyone. If you want real comida de Mexicano go to Mexico or one of the dives on Carroll Avenue in Dallas. That's where you'll find the real stuff, but even that won't have any flavor or taste if you cleanse your pallet with a Marlboro before going in.
In my opinion the interior could be enhanced with more decorations such as authentic paintings and wall sconces. The lights being less bright would create a better ambiance, but it is not all that far off for a Tex-Mex restaurant. The service is friendly and prompt and the menu is muy affordable. Something you will not get most anywhere else you go, is the owner tending the register with a smile, a joke and concern for your experience at his place of business. That is just one of the many things that keeps me going back to Tino's.
Bland, bland, bland! Stay away if you like flavor!. This is NOT a Mexican restaurant. I'm a native Texan and I love my Mexican food. We've eaten there several times trying different things and nothing they have is worthwhile. If you love bland food, this is your place. Even the 'hot sauce' is like tomato soup. There may be Mexican people cooking there, but when you don't see them actually eating there that should tell you something! Go to Jack-in-the-Box and order tacos and you will get tastier, more authentic Mexican food.
Good and inexpensive Mexican meals!. Nothing fancy, but this is small town Tex-Mex. Service is friendly and prompt, and everything we've tried is good and affordable. You should try it!
