MESQUITE, TEXAS -- Dwight and Don’s
Auto Care charged for a part that wasn’t used, labor required to install a non-existent replacement part, expensive versions of a substandard part, inflated the amount for labor, and raised the final bill from the verbal quote. They have no ethics, no morals or principles. They were not at all cordial or professional. This is a pattern and I know that they have done other people the same way that they have done me.
When I called to bring my car back under warranty I was told to bring a bed roll and a big book.
I found myself taking my vehicle to another place of repair and issued out $ 205 cash and it just so happen to be the same thing that Dwight and Don's supposedly fixed at a price of $681.
Tried calling again to see if we could come to some agreement and was told they would see me in the judges chambers.
Well, I have all my records, receipts, parts, and other pertinent information. Can't wait. Will post the outcome.
Run away from this place........very lousy customer service.
My tip is to refund me my money.
Decent.
This place is reasonable on some services and pricey on others. For example, they charged me $ 62(good) for a radiator flush , but wanted $420 (bad) for a tune-up.
I appreciate the fact that they will give you a ride home while your car is being serviced. On the other hand, they have yet to discover the wonders of computers. They still take work orders on a plain notepad and also never give you a quote in writing. This is unprofessional. To summarize, they need improvement.
BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN MESQUITE!.
Don Scott, owner of DWIGHT & DON'S, and/or his employees have worked on every car I've owned since the mid to late 1970's, as well as those of many of my family members, actually since he was in high school working part time before becoming a business owner.
I have NEVER NOT BEEN ABLE TO REACH HIM OR ONE OF HIS EMPLOYEES, regardless of day or hour when I, or one of my children, needed assistance. He is a hands-on owner and several employees are members of his family. If service for my children's cars was needed and I was at work, because of my long-time service history, he would tell me the cost by phone, let the child pick up the repaired auto and I would come pay after I got off work. As a single, working mother, that trust was very much appreciated.
Good customer service and satisfaction works two ways. Customers have to be reasonable and it is not always possible to complete repairs on the customer's schedule. If they are "covered up busy," which describes most days at that shop, sometimes the wait is long and sometimes short, but you can be sure the repairs will be done properly and as quickly as possible. Apparently they have a very small turnover in employees because when I was there this morning, I saw many familiar faces. It's conforting to know the same person will be looking at your vehicle problems. They also tell you of visible anticipated upcoming repairs that may be needed. On a recent visit I was told to budget for a particular repair that would probably be appearing in about three to five months and could be costly if ignored. I appreciated that heads up so I can budget, look out for the signs and recognize the problem when it does appear. As for cost, you get what you pay for. If the cost is cheap, the service is usually cheap also. They use quality parts, are competitive and in many instances charge less than other repair shops.
I, and my family, would not even consider taking our vehicles anywhere but this shop, even for simple things like oil change, new wiper blades and inspections. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!

Mesquite's worst Customer Service.
I was reffered to this business by another friend so I expected way more than the half hearted customer service. On the day that I brought my vechile to the shop to have the front end alligned, I just got the run around.
I was told that a mechanic would check out my van but noone ever even called me back. I had to call the business my self on two ocassions for an update. As a business owner myself I would never treat my customers in this manner and speaking to the owner was wrost than his employees.
I suggest that you never ever take your car here unless you want your time wasted. I left my car car there all day for nothing was checked and I would up taking my van somewhere else.
Friendly Customer Svc.
Customer Service is great, yet took several days just to have one thing checked out. Pricing is a little high but not too bad. Repairs are average. If they do something to your vehicle, they repair it at no charge (of course).
Yes, I would recommend them, only if you have a backup vehicle. They are a very busy place. I will say whenever they do call to let you know the problem and give you a time it should be ready .... 99% of the time they have it completed when said.
