Unbelievably bad.
OMG! So disappointed! My wife and I usually go to Pappa Bro’s or Bob’s chophouse both of which are excellent. Thought we would give Nick and Sam’s a try for something new. Our 9:00 reservation was late, place was packed but we have no idea as to why. Even thought the wait staff were friendly service was very slow and the dining room was loud. Mussel appetizer was disgusting smelled and tasted like horse manure! Seriously not fresh sent it back immediately. Tried the shrimp cocktail as a replacement and it was extremely salty. It was not the cocktail sauce but the plain shrimp was way too salty, how can that happen?
I thought the entree’s would make up for the poor appetizers but not even close. Both steaks bone in fillet and New York strip had very little flavor but were cooked correctly. Same with grilled asparagus it tasted like it was boiled and they painted on the grill marks. The mushrooms were not bad but also a little salty.
The waiter said he was sorry for the mussels (which was the only one of the five bad dished we were served that we complained). He said the chef tasted them and agreed they were horrible and the cooking staff got in trouble for letting them go out of the kitchen. He said he took the first two cocktails off our bill. However after getting the bill he did not remove the cocktails and we had asked for them to be removed. With tip $368 at least the bottle of wine was good. I travel all over the US for work and eat out a lot. I can’t even fathom how food this bad could cost so much!

Lousy Food (Easter Brunch). Unfortunately, even for buffet style, the food was lousy. My wife and I tried to recall of the countless meals we've had (from the highest end restaurants to the greasy spoon diners), we've never had such a disparity of money spent to satisfaction received from our experience. The surprising part was how lackluster the entire experience was. The hostesses were overwhelmed (barely kept order of the seating). Overbooked and overpacked the room with tables. It made the room too loud & too congested. Sadly, the food and drink were horrendous. The blood mary was bland tomatoe juice. The cocktail sauce for the shrimp (which were beautiful) was inedible. As well as the chicken and pork. The lone highlight was our server Gabe who did a nice job. This is the one concept I can't grasp...if you're a higher end steak restaurant...and have spent years cultivating that image, why would you tarnish your image by putting out such horrendous food. Nick & Sam's...either stick to your regular menu or take Easter off and remained closed.
Worst service, I've ever experienced.
We were in Dallas for the super bowl and we booked a reservation at Nick & Sam's for 8 guest more than 2 weeks in advance. We arrived 30 min early for our 9pm reservation. After nearly two hours of waiting we were told that they would not be able to seat us.
The restaurant is completely mismanaged. I would never go back to Nick & Sam's given the unprofessional staff and management.
Classic Steak House. All around good steak house. Dallas has so many steakhouses that it is hard to say which is best but Nick and Sams is a good one.
Nick and Sams. I had a chance to take my date to a wonderful steakhouse. I have lived in Dallas for nine years and always gone to Bob's and most recently Ocean Prime. Another guest at Ocean Prime told me about Nick and Sams. Boy, was I blown away from the moment I walked in. From the door to the check everything was sensational. It is safe to say that I won't be going to any other steakhouse for awhile. I was truly amazed! The maitre'd was phenomenal...and you can't miss her! Save a litlle money and spend it at Nick and Sams! It is top of the line.
Beyond Fabulous!!. I went to Nick & Sam's for the first time and was extremely impressed with everything from the impeccable and professional service to the outstanding food!! When given direction, the wine conossieur found the perfect fit and my new favorite wine!! The steak was melt in your mouth and the entire evening was remarkable. It is pricey, but well worth it. Trust me!!
Best food in town!. I came here with my family and have gone there on dates. This place has an amazing atmosphere! Everything that we ordered was awesome and I would suggest it to anyone from a birthday dinner to just a date night. Impeccable service!
First Class. Great service, phenomenal food. Lobster mac is out of this world. Dark, cozy atmosphere. best steak in Texas.
Great food, Service.. I have been eating here for years, the food is consistent, and the wait staff is professional and courteous. Whether just heading to the bar for a drink and some dessert, or a full dinner with 8 of your friends you will leave stuffed and happy. There are times when there is a wait in very busy times, but that gives you an excuse to enjoy the bar for a bit. This is not the place to go if you want to run in eat fast and leave quick, it is a full experience.
