The Scene – Diners step from the valet stand, breeze past the gracious outdoor patio and enter a rustic Italian loggia replete with marble floors, high ceilings, elegant cutlery and an imposing iron chandelier. White-hatted chefs slide pizzas into a brick oven, while on weekend nights, patrons settle into lively conversation at the polished granite bar. – – The Food – Sardinia, a favorite for its emerald coastline, is the star of the menu. Authentic antipasti include sa fregula, a savory blend of clams, saffron, couscous-like pasta and tomato, and zuppa galurese, lamb…

It was so bad I felt obligated to write a review.

It is hard to go wrong when it comes to Uptown dining. However, this place is garbage. My friend and I each took our dates here for dinner on NYE 09 prior to heading to a party. The first thing that I found irritating was that even though all 4 of us had ordered cocktails our waiter continued to badger me on a wine purchase before we had even opened our menus. Eventually, I broke down and purchased a bottle to get rid off the waiter. When it came to the food, two people at our table had ordered pork chops which were prepared like a rare to medium rare steak which is exactly how I like my steak however, it is not the standard with pork. The pork chops were sent back very politely and at no time was any hint of empathy expressed from our server. My entree was described as coming with a side of roasted vegetables which consisted of barely steamed carrot and celery sticks. It looked identical to what you receive next to a basket of buffalo wings. Last but not least our bill was $200 per couple for an awful meal. I have never felt this violated by a restaurant. I strongly discourage anyone to go to this restaurant.
- Pros: Sardinian Wine
- Cons: Everything else
Over priced and over rated

The food is NOT worth the ridiculous amount of money we spent on this meal. The descriptions make the entrees sound fancy, but they are bland, unimaginative and as exciting as a plate of mashed potatoes. The prices are through the roof. Worst of all we asked for ONE order of each of two appetizers, but they went ahead and doubled the order without asking and then charged us for it when the bill came. The place is a dump, but they hang fancy pictures on the walls and keep it the lights dim so you don't see all the stains all over the carpets. If you want Italian- don't waste your money here. Go somewhere else like Patrizio's which is half the price and 10 times better food.
