Fav breakfast spot.
Great breakfast place any day of the week. Great place to bring your dog as well, they will treat them nice! Lots of different options from healthy but tasty to bad for you and real tasty. I take my parents here everytime they come in town.

Something for everyone at Dream Cafe.
I love this place - very easy going! The fun, fresh, and quirky atmosphere make this a great resturant to take the kids or simply have a quiet meal for two. The menu is vast with something for everyone - including those who are health conscious. I love going here for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Not just a great Brunch.
Nice eclectic cafe, friendly wait staff- attentive but not hovering... comfortable environment, we brought along my sister and my 1 y/o niece and they were more than happy to accommodate.

Fun place - great brunch.
One of the few unpretentious cafes in Dallas this place has great brunch food and a few healthier options as well. I love the ambiance and the outdoor seating although not quite scenic is a good choice too. I love the granola French toast and the Mystic Pizza is very rich and delicious (but not one of the healthier options).

Good.
First off , the Mold Guy below is cluless , "mold" and Austin feel" ...what? Anyway, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, did'nt your Mom tell you that? Deam Cafe is the place when it's nice enough t o sit on the patio. Food is good, consistant and properly priced but nothing special really. Less crowded than Bread Winners or Lucky's on a Sat or Sun morning. Good for kids too.

I'd just like point out that the rocket scientist before me said that there was mold on his food!! haha...the 'mold' was actually alfalfa sprouts!! dude get yourself a brain and get with it! we're living in the 21st century baby!
anyways i find the dream cafe to be a great place for all types of occasions. great for kids, parents and even your grumpy old uncle harry will break a smile!

Mold cafe.
My girlfriend took me there for my birthday brunch. I ordered the popper and breakfast tacos.
The poppers came and a huge green fuzz was all over the top. I immediately sent it back. As a result, I could not enjoy my tacos because I thought there was the same fuzz on the tortilla.
To my courteous "friends" (biznatch & jere) I was merely stating a fact that my popover had green fuzz on it. To clarify, it was not alfalfa sprouts. That particular experience was a negative one and if you look @ my profile I have positive ratings for all my other ratings at other eateries. The Austin feel is for Austin Texas...for those that leave the Dallas bubble.
Sincerely,
Mr Rocket Scientist.

Not worth the wait.
Anticipating Sunday brunch traffic, my party of two tried to bipass the rush by arriving at noon. The cafe looked fairily busy, but still had empty tables to be seated right away. By the time we ordered our breakfast tacos and coffee it was 12:15. We didn't get our food until 1:15! There was no obvious reason why the two dishes took an hour, but by the time we got our food it wasn't worth the wait. Limited on flavor, stiff spongey veggie sausage and less than bad coffee. The service was friendly enough and apologetic to the many tables that had the same experience.

Quadrangle Southwestern food restaurant is popular for brunch, children's menu and play area..
In Short
Artwork reminiscent of the 1960s adorns the walls of this bright spot in Uptown. Dishes are named with fun, like the A Sandwich Called Wanda; Norwegian smoked salmon with red onion, tomato, capers, sprouts and herb cream cheese on sourdough bread. The Coyote plate with chili-dusted beef filet is served with a goat cheese quesadilla and grilled vegetables. Desserts include the mango upside-down cake with ice cream and raspberry sauce.
