The Scene – Cherub-filled murals span the arched ceiling, hand-blown chandeliers, and gilt moldings are reminiscent of a Rococo chateau. Louis XVI high-back chairs, silver, crystal and china exudes Old World grandeur not often found today. Servers are precise and unobtrusive while tending to diners' every need. Gentlemen are required to wear jackets. – – The Food – New executive chef, Jason Weaver steps into his role without missing a beat. Signature dishes include jumbo lump crab cake sitting atop a lemongrass-ginger infused lobster sauce and perfectly seared pecan…

excellent meal

by cmk1126 at Citysearch

This could easily become my favorite restaurant in Dallas, but I'll have to go a few more times to gauge their consistency and see more of their work. This much is the truth: these people understand foie gras. It was the best I've ever had, which is saying something because I overindulge fairly regularly. The pork belly was not exactly to taste (could have used some searing), but was nonetheless very enjoyable. The beef was very flavorful, but maybe a little too salty. But the portions were large, and overall it was a good value. Dessert, which I think is a weak point at 5-star restaurants, was very, very good (it was some sort of creme brulee with carmel popcorn and ice cream). And there are lots of pleasant little extras along the way (good bread, candy, sorbet, pre-dessert etc.).

There are cheaper five-star restaurants, but you do get more for your money here. The staff is incredibly attentive, very welcoming, and spot-on with recommendations. I'm looking forward to going back.

  • Pros: great food and great service

A meal to remember

by Morena at Citysearch

The food here is too die for! Be warned, starve yourself before you dine here. I kid you not, every course was like a blissfull hell. I was about to burst, and could not stop eating. . . The chef is definately the star here. I don't think there is one single thing on this menu that I would not love, (and I had no idea what to order!)

If I had an option for one last meal, this is definately it!

  • Pros: The food is heavenly
  • Cons: Needs a little more attention to detail from the servers.

Doesn't get better than this in Dallas

by lovemygirl at Citysearch

If you want upscale service, food, and atmosphere, this is a fabulous place. It is expensive, but if you have to ask, then you can't afford it. You don't eat at a place like this because you care about money. You eat here for the experience, and to be treated like a queen or king. Top Chef, top wait staff, top everything. This is 5 star and where you go when you need or want to feel special or make someone feel special....ah,,,unforgettable!

  • Pros: FABULOUS!
  • Cons: wish I could afford it once a week!
