food was amazing and service too!. The other i stopped by this restaurant and have to say to i was pleasantly surprised, after ordering suppa di mare i can honestly say that it was the best i had in a long time, the sauce was so flavorful and the ingredients were fresh, the bread was warm out of the oven and homemade....nedless to say that i am a big seafood lover and know how to recognize a good dish, also the waiter was checking on me and my dad often, he was courteous and even gave us a little info about what we could do after dinner around that area..since we dont live in that area. I recommend this place if you are looking for a good quality meal at a descent price in downtown dallas. By the way, the place is not too big...but cozy and with nice atmosphere and music. I will come back to this place next time i am around.…
Blah... Do Not Waste your time or $. The food was plain and boring. No seasoning. We cound not understand the waiter. It wasn't a clean environment. I really wish we would have gone to another venture during our stay in Dallas instead of Ravenna's. Zero stars from my family.…
Avoid booking large parties at this place.. Avoid dining at this restaurant if you are considering a large party. I traveled with a large group from the west coast and booked the private dining area for 28. I discussed the menu options with "Kevin", one of the managers and we were all set. In addition, one of my girlfriends also spoke to the manager who committed days in advance that they could accomodate our request. Two days later (and a day before my travels to Dallas from California) I received a call from the owner that he had since "fired" Kevin and that they could not accomodate my party for the cost comitted to me ($17 per person for penne pasta with marinara, garlic bread, green salad and fountain drinks - no alcohol or dessert). Not only was this manager completely unreasonable, he was rude as well and offered no possible solution - other than for me to reduce my menu and cut out the $6.50 salad to meet the $17 price. The next day when we arrived in Dallas, our event ended early so I called the restaurant to find out if our room would be ready earlier (since I reserved a private room). At that point, the same owner told me that he would not be ready for me early and in fact, somebody else was using the room. The room I had reserved for 28 would not be ready until 8:30 at the earliest. Needless to say, my friends and I had to find another location to enjoy dinner - which we did! I would never recommend this place and I certainly wouldn't even give it one star although that's the lowest rating possible.…
The best Italian Food I have had in Dallas.. This littlel touch of Italy is in the heart of Downtown Dallas at Main and Field Street, is quaint, a little like downtown in Chicago or New York. I enjoyed it because we could talk and visit while eating a wonderful Italian meal. I had Zuppa di Mare. Wonderully delightful, this mix of seafoods and pasta is fresh and light and seasoned to allow the taste of the ocean to come through. I also liked their wine list. Not the biggest, but selected to mix with what you are dining on. If you want Italian, from Italians that are wanting to please...try Ravenna's.…
Watch your belongings & shady management!!.
I'm upset I have to give this place even 1 star...yes, food was good...but service was lackluster. We figured our server was maybe having a bad night & were as cheerful as we could be with each
encounter & tipped him well to hopefully make up for a bad night.
BUT THE WORST - Just as we were leaving, I realized I had left my iphone on table (had been checking Cowboys score). We quickly went back inside to retrieve the phone, but the table had already been cleared, & guess what?? NO ONE had seen my phone. Yeah, right. It was late Sat. evening & we were the only customers left in the restaurant! With the short time that had elapsed, & only staff in the building, doesn't take much of stretch of imagination to figure out what happened. Owner was not helpful at all in helping us find phone, & in fact, got VERY upset with me when I suggested I would need to file a police report for the missing item. He even refused to give he his full name or a business card!! What kind of person does that?? Stay far away!!!!…
