Great zoo!. Really like the Dallas Zoo and have been to others including the famous San Diego zoo, but I think Dallas has a better one. Like the monorail which takes you thru the exhibits.

Fun zoo!. This zoo is very easy to locate and the price is right! We buy a family zoo pass every summer. At least once a week I take my kids early in the morning and we are out by lunch. This makes for a great morning with little traffic.

Where the wild things live in Big D.. In Short
Not only is the Dallas Zoo the oldest one in Texas (founded in 1888), it's also the largest in land, with 95 developed acres. The Wilds of Africa exhibit is 25 acres, featuring the different environments and animals found in Africa. A Monorail Safari takes about 25 minutes and winds through the six habitats. The Children's Zoo features interactive activities and a live tree growing inside the Discovery House.
