In Short – Not only is the Dallas Zoo the oldest one in Texas (founded in 1888), it's also the largest in land, with 95 developed acres. The Wilds of Africa exhibit is 25 acres, featuring the different environments and animals found in Africa. A Monorail Safari takes about 25 minutes and winds through the six habitats. The Children's Zoo features interactive activities and a live tree growing inside the Discovery House.
