They're pretty simple, but they were really good and filling. The restaurant is also dog friendly if you sit on the patio (which is heated). The restaurant also turns into a bar at night. Both are pretty casual and both have fun atmospheres. Nice place to not have to dress completely to impress and enjoy Uptown Dallas.
You can’t usually find fresh bread in this area and I realized that I haven’t been in this place yet. Starting this month I will buy my bread from this place.
Best for every meal!. I love Breadwinners! Not only do they have an amazing atmosphere, great food, awesome bread, great frozen mimosas but they have the nicest wait staff in town. Every time I go there we are treated so great. They also have free dessert on Sunday nights!
One of the Best Brunches in Dallas. Breadwinners is one of my favorite places for brunch in Dallas. Show up early so you don't have to wait forever with all the Uptown riff-raff, but the food is worth it.
An immediate favorite in DFW. First off, this place makes a good cup of coffee, which is just the first thing telling you you've made the right decision to eat at Bread Winners. I had a southwest-inspired egg dish and my girlfriend had the strawberry waffles. Both were excellent. The egg dish had a nice complement of tastes, and everything was perfectly fresh. The waffles were crisp and perfect with hand-whipped cream; hard to beat. Made for a great morning.
Great food and ambiance - good drink specials daily.
I have been to both the uptown and plano locations.
They have half priced bottles of wine on wednesdays and martini specials on thursdays.
the bread on the table is awesome and the service has always been good.
The side dishes - especially the mac and cheese to to die for.
The vegetarian plate is one of the best meals I have ever had.
One of my favorite bars. This place is always a great time. Good drinks, good music, cute bar. Although you will find some douches populating the place (it is Dallas), most of the people there are friendly, fun people. I love the second floor patio! It gets sooooooooooooo crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, but it's worth it.
Popular Uptown bakery, restaurant and bar charm the relaxed yet sociable patrons and their appetites..
In Short
The smell of pastries and homemade breads carries people into the quaint bakery entrance of this enchanting New Orleans style eatery. Greenery and eclectic accents bring the French Quarter to the ever hip McKinney Avenue. An outdoor bricked atrium and small front patio makes for a perfect brunch spot with great people watching. A vast variety of their popular menu items can be enjoyed throughout the day-a mimosa and smoked salmon scrambler for brunch, a grilled Portobello sandwich for lunch and buttermilk pan-fried chicken breast for dinner.
Great Sunday Brunch. This is the perfect place to spend your Sunday afternoon - good food, great waitstaff, not to mention the mimosa's - if you can stand a 30 minute wait your Sunday will be perfect!
overrated. I do not understand why people rave about breadwinners. I have been there multiple times and am a dallas native...i simply don't get it. the breakfast bread sampler at the beginning generally has four types of bread and only one is good. why would i want tomato basil bread in a breakfast pastry mix every single time? Last time i went i decided to try some type of french toast with cinnamon or something but it didn't have any taste. it's decent but definitely does not live up to the hype. really, if you want good breakfast, go to the pancake house where they have good waffles, good pancakes and real syrup. mmmm
