WHAT HAPPENED.
ME AND 5 OTHER OF MY WORK COLEGES WENT FOR LUNCH AND EVERYTHING WAS GOOD EXCEPT THE FISH WAS NOT HOT. ACTUALLY, WE ALL DETERMINED THAT IT WAS MORE LIKE ROOM TEMPERATURE. THAT WAS A REAL TURNOFF
CONSIDERING IT WAS 3 OF US VISITING THE RESTAURANT FOR THE FIRST TIME.
WE COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS WAS SO, CONSIDERING IT WAS LUNCHTIME.

Quality seafood, generous portions and great value are what keeps a line at the door most weekdays at lunchtime. A pet peeve of mine is ordering fried shrimp dishes in restaurants that serve shrimp the size of quarters, encased in thick, greasy, gloppy batter and then they're stingy with the amount to boot. The fried shrimp at Hook, Line & Sinker are truly jumbo shrimp, butterflied and in the most delicate of a crispy cornmeal batter. The fried catfish is equally as delectable and the grilled shrimp and fish dishes are also fresh and done to perfection. The spicy shrimp cocktail is a a definite winner. You place your order at the counter and then have the option of eating in the indoors dining room or out on the patio. Most people don't mind the wait, the line moves fast and the staff is efficient.
