Fabulous unique gifts. This is the most unique art and gift shop in Dallas. The collection is well edited,; the kind of things you can find nowhere else. The owners are knowledgeable and helpful. The best place in Dallas for modern jewelry, high end crafts and distinctivegifts, many with a sense of humor. Don't miss this jewel on knox Street..

Enjoyable Shopping.... Maybe the previous reviewer is not exaggerating, but every time I've been in Iota the owner has been mildly standoffish but very warm and helpful when I've asked for help. His wares, especially his greeting cards, are fun and unusual. I think his store is darling.

Worst Excuse for a Gallery in the DFW metroplex. I have been buying art for over twenty years now and I have never had an experience as bad as the one I had at "iota" on Knox street in Dallas, TX.

From the moment I entered, the elderly man working there glared at me. I live in New York City and believe me, I can handle dirty looks from gallery owners who don't know I am there to make a serious purchase, yet. But then he sighed and rolled his eyes when I asked a question. For the record, I was asking about the origin of a piece and if the artist has any other work on the way in because the one I wanted was similar, but not exactly, what I saw on display at the time.

Maybe this was a touchy subject to him. He stated that "everything they had was on display" - which was not exactly the question I asked, so I tried again.

After the second time he rolled his eyes, sighed deeply, and answered me in a curt tone of voice, I thanked him and left.

As I walked out the door, he said something like "and don't come back, you idiot."

At least he was right about one thing: I was an idiot for going in there.

Do yourself a favor: don't ever go into "iota."
