Knife fight at seniors' center.
Charges were dropped in December in connection with an Aug. 28 knife fight at Emeritus at Vickery Towers, a senior citizens complex in the Lower Greenville area.
One man in his 70s suffered a severed thumb and other injuries and another in his 60s was stabbed in his chest. Both were initially charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
An elevator and a hallway were stained red after the bloody attack.
Both were released from the Lew Sterrett Criminal Justice Center.
The younger of the two men was on parole due a 20-plus-year sentence for shooting a police officer.

Warm and bright. My grandparents moved to Vickery Towers two months ago - a big switch from living independently. The wonderful staff has made the transition for them go smoothly. The apartments are nice and bright and the dining hall is lovely, and I've heard the food is good. I would live there!
