WILL NEVER USE AGAIN - ANIMAL LOVERS BEWARE!!.
When they were at their old location on Mockingbird, we were hesitant about leaving our dogs, but decided to try a short day stay even though we were uneasy about all the dogs standing around in the small space at the front.
They separated our smaller dog from our larger dog and put him in a small open topped cage "for his protection." ??? (He weighs 35 lbs.) When we picked up the dogs, they were uncharacteristically nervous, and showed regression in training.
We had not been back since then, and periodically read reviews of Dee's Doggie Den since they are close.
Thank goodness I read the review about the diabetic dog that died there, and the horrible comment left by an employee, the one who injected the dog.
I am so sorry for the owner of the dog and for the sweet dog that died BECAUSE OF THEIR CARE, (OR LACK OF CARE), whether the owner took the dog home or not. I've heard some negative things over the years, and wondered why they have so many positive reviews. I always try to give the benefit of doubt, but this information is enough for me.
I'm also thankful for the f/u review that describes how the dog was probably administered the incorrect amount of insulin...if it was administered at all.
In my opinion they are trying to run a VOLUME not QUALITY business and are only in it for the money, not for the love of our precious pets.
I just wish I saw these reviews when they came out a couple of years ago. Thank goodness I know now!!!
To Dee and her staff...taking care of any animal is a privilege and an honor, in my opinion, as important as if you take care of one of my children.
You ought to post a public apology to this poor woman whether you feel you made a mistake or not. Not doing so, tells me more than anything about your lack of love for people and animals!!!
Folks when you see a red flag, or have a poor gut feeling, for the sake of your precious charges, not to mention for yourself, please check it out. I wish I had sooner!!!
Great service. Haddie loves coming to play and get pampered at Dee's and I always take her home happy. I will deferentially keep coming back!
Horrible experience!!. I took my baby to Dee's and i cried the whole time i was out, the lady at the front desk was incompetent and not welcoming at all even tho she knew it was our FIRTS time there, she got my dog's name wrong she didn't care, she took her back to the daycare area and i was overwhelmed with how many dogs were there it smelled so bad. She took my dog Chevelle's collar off and threw her in a room full of dogs there must have been at least 25 dogs in there plus my dog, it was full of poop and pee all the dogs were stepping all over it. The dogs were not supervised at all. My husband said we should just try it out. i came back for her around 5:30pm and i went back to get her and her collar and leach were missing not in the correct letter, she had to go looking for it. I look into the play area where they had her and she was hiding in the corner the guy that was supposed to take "care" of her was vacuuming instead, she's terrified of the vacuum!!!! at this time i decided i was NEVER bringing her to this establishment. I hated that she was so sad on our ride home and she seemed so happy to see us... to top it off they labeled her food with the name Chennel!!!
Great Daycare, boarding and training.
I've been taking my dog Lua who is not very social and with daycare and training we are seeing improvements very fast.
Would definitely recommend this place to anybody, a friend recommend it to me and I would do the same.
Charlie and Shiraz love daycare. Charlie and Shiraz love daycare. They get excited just pulling into the parking lot.
Dee's Doggie Den Is The Best For Doggie Daycare. My boyfriend has been using Dee's for years, so when we adopted Shadow there wasn't a question in his mind as to where he would be taking him for doggie daycare and boarding.
Love The Doggie Daycare. I've been with Dee's for more than 10 years and three dogs! Sophie and Sasha love boarding and doggie daycare with the extra-friendly folks at Dee's!
Grooming Love. I dropped my little dog Presley for a groom. His hair grows very quickly is very thick and can get out of control really fast. When I picked him up, he had the CUTEST short cut and the sweetest teddy bear face! I tried to trim him back and had thoroughly botched the job but the groomers at Dee's were able to save what I had done and make him look absolutely wonderful. His nails were cut, he smelled great and he was super playful when I picked him up. The staff was so gentle and affectionate with him that I felt that they definitely treated him like he was one of their own pets! I haven't tried the daycare but will be doing so in the future - all the dogs looked like they were having a blast in there. Presley will definitely be back for a groom in 6-8 weeks. Save a treat for him! :)
Milo loves Dee's Doggie Den. Milo loves coming to Dee's Doggie Den to play. He even has friends that go to Dee's Doggie Den as well, and Dee will place them together so they can play. It's a very friendly and warm place to bring your pets.
