Colorful Thai offerings stand out against the dark paneled walls, blond-wood booths and two dozen tables. Bangkok City attracts a mixed crowd at night, when casually dressed families dine on pad thai next to the nightlife set. The restaurant offers standard dishes such as green curry and garlicky fried fish, as well as house specialties such as Volcano chicken, deep-fried and served with chili sauce and steamed vegetables. – – High Marks – "The Pad Thai at Bangkok City achieves a great balance between sweet and savory." Great Thai Restaurant

Just ordered from this Thai Restaurant and I must say that Bangkok on Greenville is better than the Bangkok on 75 and Walnut Hill as their packed with more flavor. I ordered the Tom Yum Soup which was so delicious where as the Bangkok on 75 had no taste whatsoever. Bangkok on Greenville also has more selections such as the Green Tea Ice Cream I love. I think I will be ordering here from now on. I can't wait to try the other selections such as the volcano shrimp.
Some great food!

The appetizers I order were delicious, and even though I'm not a fan of vegetables, the pad see ew was really great also! I suggest going here for lunch and dinner!
Greenville yum

The scenery here is pretty great, not shabby at all. Looks like they've done something new with the restaurant. We started off with with fried shrimp, imperial rolls and chicken satay, they were all just right, especially the peanut sauce!! I love it! Their orange chicken (Sure, its Chinese but they can pull it off!) was great, i had to steal some off my boyfriend's plate! The cashew nut chicken was yum too! It wasn't as sweet as the last Thai place i went to so it was great! My boyfriend's parents had different versions of fried rice and they dug into that dish like they never ate before! I tried a bit of their plates and one was real spicy, i can't handle the spice but the vegetarian fried rice was great!
Fabulous Authentic Thai Food
by Ffoodie at Citysearch
As a conservative estimate, I have eaten at 25 Thai restaurants over my life. It is by far my favorite ethnic food and I seek out new restaurants whenever I travel. I believe I have found the best, most authentic and flavorful Thai food available at Bangkok City @ Greenville. The Satay chicken, thai spring rolls, imperial rolls and thai dumplings were delicious. The Pad Gra Prow, Thai style, which is made up of ground chicken, peppers, bamboo shoots, basil, carrots and seasonings, stir fried together with a fried egg on top was exceptional. The pad thai, crab fried rice, volcano shrimp and other dishes I cannot remember were also all great.
The wait staff, hostess (hi Mimi) and owner (hi Joe) are all friendly and personable and happy to make suggestions based on what you like. If you don't see what you want, ask and they will make it for you. Since I was only in Dallas for a week, I only got to eat at this great restaurant twice but I cannot wait to go back and try something new.
Go to Bangkok City @ Greenville, ask for some authentic thai food, and bask in the warmth of the tasty, friendly experience.
- Pros: Fantastic authentic food at a reasonable price
- Cons: Wasn't in Dallas long enough to try everything
Dont miss it...

The food was awesome and affordable. The papaya salad, tom yum soup, and pad grow prow (ask for Thai Style w/ fried egg) were tasty and very authentic.
Our server was great and really helped up pick out items we would like. The host stopped by our table a few times to offer suggestions as well. It was fun talking to them. It was a little bit of Thailand right here in Dallas.
