In Short – Named after the innovative blues guitarist, this Greenville Avenue staple offers the traditional aspects of your traditional blues bar: dark, crowded, smoky, a little grimy, cheap beer and great music. "King of the Dallas blues jams," local guitarist Hash Brown has been known to wander in and take the stage, as well as talented young rock bands, like Alan and the Theater Fire, paying their dues on Lower Greenville.

Bayou Bar in the Heart of Lower Greenville!
by brennanlee
Muddy Waters could be located in the swampy bayou somewhere down in Mississippi, for all of it's backwater ambience. I Love Muddy Waters!!! It has the feeling of a real neighborhood bar, a favorite of the Lakewood locals, and usually very good live music! Check out 8 Ball and the Breakers on Friday Aug. 10th.
Live Music, Cold Beer, Good Liquor Prices...A good time for all!

Muddy Waters on Lower Greenville isn't the standard "highbrow" "look at my Rolex" kind of Lower Greenville Bar. Low keyed, friendly people and good live music. Unlike most Greenville night spots, Free Parking guarded by a guard.
Check out Grant Wiscour and the Infidels, a local favorite that plays monthly.
- Pros: Good Bands, Free Parking
