Best Seafood with a Mexican flare!. If you are in the mood for REAL I mean REAL mexican seafood, this is the best place to go to in Dallas. I always start with the "La Calle Doce Margarita" (includes ur choice of Jimador, Herradura, or Cazadores tequila) and a platter of CEVICHE tostadas. This dish has succulent plump pieces of white fresh fish cooked and marinated for hours in citrus juices topped with pico de gallo and avocado ( I like to splash it with a bit of tabasco). Then for my entree I usually have the WHOLE GRILLED BLACKENED CATFISH, which it does have bones but the fish is always fresh and cooked just right that the fish is so tender it falls right off the bones, it comes with a nice surprise of homemade COD STEW and grilled veggies and rice. Now if I havent stuffed my face enough by the end of the meal I always have their creamy LAURA'S FLAN with the mexican caramel drippping all over it, MMMM!!!! I have always had immaculent service and the manager always makes you feel welcomed like youve come home after a long trip, just staying away from La Calle Doce for a few days does feel like an eternity! The Best Restaurant In Texas!. I have been going to La Calle Doce since it first opened its doors in 1981. The Mexican food is incredible! The seafood is to die for, and the American food, believe it or not, is top-notch. I've eaten there over 150 times and never had bad service or bad food. It doesn't matter if you wear shorts, tanks, and flip-flops or if you are decked out to the nines, you'll feel right at home and experience service and food second to none!…

worth the drive from Austin. I was introduced to La Calle Doce 8 years ago while visiting dallas. I now make the drive just to eat here. I haven't been in two years but I have made plans to go soon. The cheviche is amazing, and nothing in Austin compares. The service is so-so, but the food more than makes up for it.…
