Great Breakfasts. In my opinion the less than inexpensive prices (lunch can cost $10.00 to $12.00 per person with a beverage) cakes are $4.00 a slice,one would think they would remodel the old place, it seems dreary and needs more than an occasional coat of white paint. Restrooms can be off putting... Mama's Daughter's Diner on Irving Blvd. is a better (less greasy) option for the good ol' home cookin' genre.

This nostalgic fifties diner in Oak Cliff has been a favorite of generations for over fifty years. Patrons enjoy the familiarity of the well worn red vinyl booths and long time waitresses. Traditional breakfasts like grits and hot cakes and home style classic dinners such as chicken fried steak and meatloaf are house specialties. Famed mile high meringue pies makes for an old fashioned ending. Reasonable prices keep regulars coming in weekly. No alcohol served.
