Very good haircut!. I got a great cut from Nathalie, I will return! I did notice several people mention them running late, guess I was lucky as a walk in, I didn't have to wait.

Go Elsewhere. I had a haircut with Nathalie, and unfortunately, it was the 2nd worst haircut I have ever had in my life. And it's only the 2nd worst because the 1st worst haircut took slightly longer to grow out. I have no idea what people are talking about raving about this salon or Nathalie.

First of all, she overcut my hair - I told her I wanted to grow it out but that I just wanted more layers to do so (I had shoulder-length hair or just past my shoulders at the time with not a whole lot of layers). Mind you, even though I needed a cut, I had had, 6 months prior, an amazing haircut (with razor technique) by a "trendy" stylist. So Nathalie basically had a blank canvas to start with...

Back to the drama... she went ahead and cut at LEAST 2/3 of my hair at my ears, and left the lowest meagre layer(s) about an inch above my shoulders. NOT a good look at all! And then, to make matters worse, after she blow-dried my hair - I think realizing her mistake by this point - she then proceeded to razor cut my hair ALL OVER to the point where I had layers above my ears. No one in their right mind would EVER do this to naturally curly/wavy hair. EVER.

So after butchering my hair, she then proceeds to blame it on my hair growth - saying that I have so much volume at my crown, but not the same amount of volume below my crown and that it's "strange." First of all, I have never had a stylist remark on this before, and no, I haven't starting losing hair overnight. Secondly, even if this were true, ANY stylist with half a sense tosses your hair around and gets a sense of your texture and thickness/volume/growth pattern, etc. before he/she starts cutting it. These screw-ups on her part are very troubling signs of inattention to basic details that I cannot condone - not listening to me, messing up the cut, razoring it all over to cover her mistakes, and then blaming it on my hair growth - it was a nightmare.

I can't tell you how bad this experience was, other than to say that instead of me paying $85 for this butcher of a job, JP Salon should be paying me the $85 for my trouble and blow to self-esteem.

I suspect some of these reviews on here are not authentic. Especially the ones that are vague on details or specific occurances. It's a pretty common tactic on CS unfortunately, so I say buyer beware.. I had to wait over a year to grow out the awful haircut.

The. Very. Best.. I visited several top salons after moving to Dallas and, upon becoming acquainted with some of the city's "best" salons, experienced inattentive and inconsistent service—as well as unimpressive color or haircuts. I ended up asking a friend of mine, an editor with a major social magazine, where she went–and once I visited Jean Philippe Salon, I never looked back. I was SO relieved to find such a convenient place with the very best trained hair stylists, ultra-friendly service and exceptional Kerastase and Prive products (among others). I worship Nathalie (a delightful native of France) for cuts and Stephani (a sweet, fun Texan) for color. They are spot-on every time. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Great service. I went in and with a bad headache. I started off with a shampoo before my cut. Carlos did my shampoo and instantly relieved my stress. It was off to Jean Philippe where I got a great style that lasts me for days. I walked out relaxed and feeling beautiful.

I love this salon!. I had the exact opposite experience as the bad reviews below. May hair was a total mess after Toni and Guy Willowbend did a horrible job on the color and then Toni and Guy Sherry Lane gave me a mullet. In over 2 years worth of various salons messing it up, I had really fried hair. Stephanie did an amazing job fixing my color--she is very talented. Nathalie is new to the salon, but has tons of experience. She gave me a fantastic cut that takes no time to style. The receptionist was nice and the experience was fantastic. Yes, it's a little expensive, but you'll pay a lot more to get it fixed if someone screws it up, so get it done right. I learned that the hard way!

I agree!. I 100% agree with Tara, I have had the same experience with him and his color team. Right on the money...

Awful. Do not even attempt! Every appointment is over an hour late, esp if your apt is with Jean Philippe. Yes he is good at cutting, but his style-outs are done by his "students", so you don't even get what you pay for ($150 a cut with him). Not only that, but sitting through a cut while he makes perverted comments to you and to his "regulars" should i say, is not worth it either. Married man yes...faithful, guess again. Not only that, his wife works with him and he does it with her standing right there. I would have been much happier going to some hole in the wall, at least my appointment would have been on time and more comfortable. As far as his head-colorist, you NEVER KNOW what kind of mood she (he) is in. It is extremely uncomfortable being greeted by someone who acts like they don't even want you there. Make sure to bite your tongue around this one, Dina (or should i say Dino) is incredibly intimidating and rude. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

BEST EYEBROW SHAPERS IN DALLAS. Sean-Philippe is one of the best salons for full service. Peal is great for getting your brows shapped. The best I've ever had. Also, cut and color is very good. You can't go wrong. Avoid making appointments late in the day as they tend to run late. Great service overall.

avoid this salon. If you value your time Jean-Philippe Salon is not the place for you. Their staff is at minimum 20 minutes behind schedule. I waited for over 45 minutes until they realized that I was still sitting there. The staff did not seem to care that I wasted almost a hour waiting to get my hair cut. I have gotten my hair cut at numerous salons in Dallas and this one is not worth the wait. Customer service is half the fun of getting ones hair done and this salon leaves much to be desired.

Quality Service, Reasonable Prices all in One!. Read the Reviews on CitySearch and had to check it out for myself, again.. ejeja

I'm pretty sure alot of females can agree with me when we are picky and very careful with who does our hair. I can truley say that I didn't go in for a hair color, just a simple dry and style. But, It was awesome. The style was very sophisticated and very chic. I felt like a million bucks for only 30$ was not bad!

Will be going back to try the eyelashes. It seems affordable and I saw a lady walk in w/eyelash tint it looked very appealing on her, so had to give it a try.

Will definately post my feedback!

Awesome Salon!
