In Short – A dark, cozy, smoky little place--there's not much in the way of fans. Cabin-like rafters oversee aging booths and low, expansive tables that welcome the odd poker group. Televisions are in every corner. The bar is trimmed in Christmas lights and tucked away from the front door. On nights when there isn't live music, the jukebox plays a variety of tunes. The menu offers BLTs with thick fries, the chicken-fried steaks and the veggie burgers.
Cold Beer and Good Hamburgers! Sort of like something in South Austin
by cslebleu
I love this place! After 3 years in Dallas, I've finally found a little dive that reminds me of some of those in my hometown of San Antonio! Great country music at times; interesting people; very good burgers and fries; ice cold beer; and it's in my neighborhood! Nothing fancy or pretentious here - it actually reminds me of the Continental Club in South Austin! Just wish I knew how to find out what live music acts they might be having.
Great Dive Bar
by lhseume
This little hole in the wall bar is great for a drink after work or on the weekend. You see that not much has changed since it opened and the mood is relaxed and cozy. Good bar food and very interesting people watching opportunity.
- Cons: Can get smoky inside
Nice pool table
by r2nate2
Most pool tables at bars are covered in ashes and the cues are all bent. We were surprised to find everything in order, nice and clean. And, it's tucked away, so you get your own area. I like the burgers and the grilled cheese sandwich on the menu.
