Ehh. It's just not that great. What I don't understand is when you get something out of the chef's box (the premade food), they don't either warm it up for you or put it in a container that is microwave safe. Seems kinda like a no brainer to me. It is really overpriced and bland. One of the guys behind the chef's box wasn't rude, but really went out of his way to make me feel stupid when I told him that I had never ordered out of the chef's box before and needed to know where to pay. Really? Sorry I am not as posh as some folks who seem to think paying way too much for just OK food is cool.
very fun place to go.
Good food; lots of good sample. Friendly staff.
The bread is excellent, especially the cranberry/orange breat. French bread also excellent. They have pizza on Friday nights, but I was a bit disappointed. Overall, a really nice place.
Absolutely a deli to try. This is my first trip to Dallas and a friend took us to this deli. I absolutely recommend this deli if you do not know what you want to eat. This deli has so many choices; salads made to order, hot or cold sandwiches with a multitude of choices to put between the many choices of bread. Eatzi's has a carving station and also a 30 ft section of cold entrees of seafood, italian food, thai food, vegetable dishes and cold pasta salads one can pick to eat there or to take home. Plenty of beverages and desserts to chose from. There are so many choices it may still be hard to decide what to eat but I'm sure every bit of it is good.
Fresh and quick!. This establishment has a mixed group of patrons from the plastic type rich girl to the everyday down to earth person. Food is appropriately priced for the quality. The selection of foods is so diverse that you could select something different probably for up to 2-3 weeks. They provide samples of many of their foods too. Our favorite is the salad bar that is prepared for you under your supervision. The ingredient list is long, you are able to pick your toppings and you are able to get as much as you would like all for $4.99. The sandwich bar is also a big there. For folks who are vegan, they offer a roasted vegetable sandwich, which is a nice change of from the usual. The also have a hot meal take out area that offers lots! If you are in a real hurry they have a selection of meals packaged that day that you can pickup. Oh, and although we haven?t tried any of the desserts?they look yummy. You can buy the whole dessert or purchase a single generous serving. This is the place for those trying to eat healthy or for those that are blessed and can consume endless calories!
Fast and fresh. If you are in a hurry but want the freshest food, you'll find it here. The salads are made to order. You pick from all the fresh ingredients, which are displayed right in front of you. Then the toss and it's done! Simple and tasty.
very good for what it is. For the most part Eatzi's has very good take-out food for when you don't feel like cooking at home. granted there are a few misses, but their made-to-order salads and sandwiches are worth the wait. their tuna salad is very good as well.
Butt. Their food is awful. Bland & expensive. Ugh. Don't believe the hype. They should rename themselves "Butt-zi's".
Somewhere between fast-food restaurant and gourmet mini-market, featuring beautiful breads, tasty salads, sandwiches and expensive chocolates..
The Scene
This place is almost always a mob scene. Open every day but Thanksgiving and Christmas, EatZi's packs in throngs of professionals on their lunch break and yoga moms on their dinner run. The layout is simple: breads and fresh goods on the right; pre-made gourmet meals in the center; a sandwich station, salad station and hot meal station on the left and a tiny checkout area up front near the bottled drinks. Patrons snake through the circular pattern, stopping here and there to sample, or just to covet.
The Food
Spectacular food at above-average prices is a hallmark here. Breads include a loaf with parrano cheese and sun-dried tomatoes baked in. The sandwich station offers an assortment of slices from which to choose, as well as European cheeses and fancy hams. The salad station will throw in unlimited toppings for a set price.
