Editorial Review for Tony's Wine Warehouse & Restaurant – by Jennifer Robertson
The Scene
Boxes of wine line the walls leading the way to small candlelit tables tucked in every cranny of this wine warehouse. Before seating, pick out a bottle of wine for your meal. The helpful staff is knowledgeable and eager to assist. Don't let the warehouse shelving fool you--the food is elegant and flavorful.
The Food
The French-Italian kitchen puts emphasis on presentation. Evidence is in the cascading casserole of plump button mushrooms and shrimp served in a beurre blanc, a hot butter sauce made with vinegar. House wines are tasteful accents to the entrees: a Silver Ridge chardonnay goes well with breaded red snapper, as does the Black Label merlot and the mesquite-grilled filet mignon. Entrees are served with pesto whipped potatoes and sauteed vegetables. The soft bread pudding offers a mixture of cinnamon and chocolate served on a bed of raspberry sauce.

We bought a wine tasting for up to 40 at charity auciton and thought it would be something fun to do with friends. We went with about 20 people of varying knowledge of wine. The person leading our tasting could not answer several of the questions the group posed to him and did not create a sense of knowing what he was talking about. The red wines were not served at room temperature like they should for optimum taste but were chilled and he stated they are suppose to be that way. Come on get real. Red wine is not to be served cold or chilled. We ordered appetizers and they were a complete rip off. Over priced for the small serving sizes. I am sure they are making a boat load of money off people buying those for parties. They price their wine way over what you could buy just down the street at Goody Goody where they wine guys kow there stuff.

We had our wine tasting at Tony's and we had a great night. We learned about wine and we found some new styles that my wife (not a wine drinker) loved. The dinner we had was fantastic, I had the filet, she had the snapper. I would recommend this place to everyone. DD
