In Short – The colossal Cowboys Red River is more than your typical line-dancing, two-stepping country-western bar. Dallas-area singles don Stetsons and spurs and free form to the twang of a six-string on a spacious dance floor, while others chat and sip on beers around a nice set of pool tables and enjoy live music from the house band. Special events, including a Dolly Parton look-a-like contest and mechanical bull-riding contest keep the mood light.

Handsome cowboys greet you at the door, wonderful music playing -- but you can still hold a conversation inside, great covered smoking area around 3/4 of the building outside and no smoking inside, free dance lessons and see concerts for free when you join the VIP Club. This place makes you feel right at home the minute you walk inside. Appropriate decor in a well-cooled, friendly atmosphere. Mechanical bovine onsite (sorry, they don't allow the actual word on this site, haha). While I am not a big fan of country music, I fell in love with this place the minute I stepped inside, and I will definitely be back for more lessons!
- Pros: Free dance lessons on Wednesday nights 7-830pm
- Cons: Can't spend every moment there, we all gotta work sometime!

Cowboys Red River Rocks!!!

I love this Bar!!! Me and My Best Friend, Ms. Hottie, Never miss a week here! We love the Cute Cowboys! The great Dance Floor! The Adorable Bouncers! The Best Bartenders in Dallas! And all the Live Country Music any cowg irl would want. Eddie the Sweet bathroom attendant I remember from Stampedes in the late 80;s. I recommend it to anyone that wants to have a Great Time. You can find me and my friiend there almost very Thursday. We have been hittin it on Saturdays on occasion. Me and my friend would like to apologize to the ladies. We are Hot and Ready to Dance. Come on Cowboys show us whatcha got!!!

Overall Good Time

I love this bar! Staff is wonderful (Stacey is the best bartender! I also love Cricket and Keisha!). Always something to do and someone to pick up. Prices are reasonable as well. I have lived most of my life in the DFW metroplex and Red River never lets me down.
