I needed help finding a costume for a Juneteenth play I was in. I'm 5' tall and not the skinniest kid on the block - though I am very cute! LOL! One call to these folks and my troubles were over! I needed something that looked like it was worn by a poor southern women back in the 1800's. They told me on the phone to come by the next morning. Sure enough, they had already pulled some things out for me. I had plenty to choose from and their expert advice on other accessories was perfect. They were extremely honest as I tried on various selections and when I left I felt confident I had come to the right place. The play was a success and my costume was perfect! I couldn't be more pleased with the staff. They are extremely knowledgeable about their inventory, historical eras, and anything at all to do with costuming up an individual or an entire production. Don't walk...RUN to this place. It's worth it!

I can't find a single bad thing to say about the Dallas Costume Shoppe. Once I walked in, I was greeted by two associates. I told Hope what I was looking for, who quickly and enthusiastically escorted me to the section where I would later find my costume. Everyone on the staff was so very nice and helpful. At one point, I had one staff member helping me find the perfect hat, digging through multiple boxes to find just the right size. Another associate asked if I needed help while waiting for the hat - so he began to look for buckles for my shoes. Hope was searching for the perfect laced dickie to complete my outfit. While three staff members made me feel like Queen Victoria, another associate, Pix was his name, helped find the hat that made my outfit complete. Pix then wrote up my order and gave me a price I couldn't believe. I spent $40 on an entire costume. The entire customer service experience was worth so much more. One recommendation I would have is to make sure you bring CASH or CHECK, as the store does not accept credit cards. Overall, the service was superb. The price was very low and I felt like I was among friends while in the store. I highly recommend the Dallas Costume Shoppe to anyone seeking a costume rental.
