Tough to beat Mexican joint. This place is great, many places claim to be authentic but they aren't. 90% of Mexican places claim to be authentic but are clueless. I found this place to be more Mex Mex than Tex Mex, a little slice of Mexico. Love this place, great food is always made by great people, by people that care, this fits the bill. They are definitely top 2-3 Mexican restaurants in the DFW area. I crave the tacos and drive to Deep Ellum from Far North Dallas to go eat there. Charming, warm, rustic and great, great food... Pepes and Mitos, Cuquitas and Tierra Caliente are the best Mexican food restaurants in the city..

Best Chipotle Wine Sauce Around. We've been big fans of Pepe's & Mito's for years now. This is better than your average Mexican food. I would call it upscale Mexican because the recipes are not typical Mexican, though they are traditional dishes.

The taquitos on the appetizer menu are a warm and crunchy favorite of my husband's with perfectly seasoned beef filling. I can't go without ordering the steak, chicken or even catfish with the chipotle wine sauce. It's sooo savory and good. The fajitas are great and a good value at lunch.

When our friends come in from out of town we always go to Pepe's & Mito's for an authentic Tex-Mex fix at it's finest! If you want something a little different then just ask, they are happy to accomodate special requests.

Come in at 11:00 and enjoy the breakfast/brunch menu on Saturday and Sunday. The entire menu is still available, of course. They make a wicked breakfast taco. Don't forget to try their homemade chorizo.

I've never really had a problem parking as there are several street spaces close by and local lots.
