"Best place to put money in the jukebox!" -Dallas Observer. One of the more underrated pubs in all of Dallas, the aptly named Elbow Room has a charm and style unique. The pizza, which is served by cute young waitresses until 1am, is either a thick, bready Sicilian or thin and crispy. In either case, the tomato sauce tastes fresh, and it's oh-so-yummy when topped with Italian sausage crumbles. A jukebox is tucked into a nook, stocked with a range of genres and there's shuffleboard, pool and darts. If you're lucky, someone will play Journey at 1am, and everyone in the bar will start singing.…

In Short – Find respite from the busy city in this spacious bar, where funky art by locals decorates the exposed-brick walls. The crowd comes early for happy-hour specials. Patrons hang around for the beer selection, live music, free shuffleboard and darts, plus a back porch with a panoramic view of downtown Dallas. The Italian-themed menu offers better-than-average pub grub, from calamari with basil aioli to Ed's chicken Parmesan sub, a favorite with regulars.
The best pizza in Dallas!
by calgal4u2
Wow! Have you tried their pizza? Baylor Hospital is one lucky hospital to have pizza like this so close by. I went to the Elbow room for an early Saturday pizza and was floored by this amazing pizza. I am serious! This is the best pizza in Dallas! The thin crust pizza was my choice and it was hand tossed, with a light sauce and the best aged cheese! I chose the sausage topping and a few other items. The pizza was cooked perfectly and I had to force myself to NOT take another bite. The crust was by far the best thin crust I have had here in Dallas, and my godmother use to own her own pizza place in the Metroplex. As a bar, it was friendly, as soon as we walked in the bartender said hi from across the room with a big smile as I wandered from the 4 rooms and patio choices. Not too bad for what they are calling a neighborhood bar. It was roomy, surprisingly NOT SMOKEY for a smoking bar and had lots of games and seating choices. Oh and the jukebox really was one of the best in Dallas. So if you need good food, good fun and maybe a few new friends or have some to hang out with already, bring them to the elbow room, there is something for everyone. If you are in the neighborhood , they deliver ( that includes to Baylor hospital) . Ask for Jessica if you are drinking or dining in, she was our waitress and was sweet, efficient and made great suggestions if you are not sure which pizza to choose from a menu of not just pizza :)
- Pros: Great jukebox, drinks, service and food!
- Cons: Not one thing!
Fill your belly with Beer and Pizza!

On a recent Saturday around midnight, we found a booth near the entrance, underneath the topless Mona Lisa painting, which is perhaps the bar's signature decoration. Staff members say patrons have offered to buy it, but the bar isn't selling.
Christmas lights dangled over exposed brick, and The Who's "Who Are You" drifted out of the speakers.
It seemed like a quiet night, despite the late hour. Groups of friends and couples sat huddled around tables, talking. In the back, two guys stared at a shuffleboard table and plotted their strategy. A few others played darts. Most people looked 25 to 35.
The Elbow Room has a large back room in addition to the front space, so big groups can usually find a seat together, which is nice for birthday parties.
Service is also quick. On two visits, waitresses took our order almost as soon as we sat down, and reappeared just as our beers were getting low.
If only they could conjure up another one of the best pizzas in dallas, magically free of calories. - Qucik Feb 2008
- Pros: Spacious place , room for everyone! FREE Parking with security
- Cons: Parking, but it's FREE across the street! ( they own the lot)
Best salad ever!

What a surprise to find the best salad I have ever had at the elbow room. It is next to Baylor Hospital and I needed something to eat. I would usually not go into a bar for food, but gave it a try and now fee like you should know that if you want the best salad ever in a casual atmosphere, go here!

Typically, the crowd is low-key, and sometimes patrons come straight over from work at Baylor Hospital down the street. You'll find a nice selection of beers and premium liquors at the Elbow Room, and, more importantly for a pub, the drinks are exceptional!
