The BEST move I have ever had!
by Marcia007
My husband booked us with another moving company, and they stood us up. A friend of mine had used Apple Moving twice so we called them. From the first phone call until we were in our new home, they were Great! I gave them a list of items to be moved, and they only change in our price was that I forgot to tell them that we had a washer and dryer. The movers were polite and careful, and did not stop until we were moved in. They set up my infants room first, which was great, as moving is stressful enough, but with a six week old the stress was triple. After the move we received an evaluation sheet, that asked us to rate their service. It was alot higher than the 5 stars I could rate on here! I want to think Apple Moving, and their men, for bailing us out, and I wish I had been referred to them before making the mistake of calling someone else! Apple Moving is the only moving company I will ever use!
- Pros: Excellent Service, Polite movers
- Cons: That my husband called someone else first THAT STOOD US UP! Not Apple Movings fault!
They may be insured but that won't do you any good

We used them to move us. First time users. The move was great but one of the movers stole some jewelry. When we contacted the owner, he essentially told us that it's our word against his at the end of the day and it was up to us to PROVE his movers stole from us. We didn't see it (of course) so we are out a priceless and treasured wedding ring that was passed down generations and a nice watch. We filed a police report of course, but nothing yet. This company would not even file this claim with their insurance company so that it could be investigated properly and resolved one way or the other. So, if you use this mover and they steal from you--you are screwed. That's the bottom line. WATCH EVERY MOVE--don't turn your back for a second and make sure your jewelry is secured.
- Pros: Great move-handled everything with care
- Cons: They stole from us and did nothing about it afterwards
Not a company that will do the right thing

We went with Apple Moving because they boast of being professional "insured" movers who will take good care of you. They do live spots on the radio all the time, asking you why on earth would you have a friend help you move... what if they drop your expensive TV?!?! Well you wouldn't have to worry about that with them, because they are "insured" and everything they move will be covered! Well... that is exactly what happened to us. One of their "professional" movers, who could not have weighed more than 140 pounds, swung our heavy, flat screen HDTV over their head (pretty professional move, right?). The TV fell 6 feet to the ground, and the outside of it broke. We figured "Hey, no problem! Apple is insured and we will get taken care of through this wonderful claim process they constantly remind us of in their advertising!"
I received a call this morning from Apple. Since our TV still technically turns on, they consider it "not broken." So I am supposed to sit a broken TV in my living room like it's nothing? A TV I paid alot for, and isn't my fault that it's broken? That's pretty low rent. And get this- here is what their marvelous insurance will do for you... They happily tell me that they pay $0.61/ pound for damaged goods. They will be paying us $91.00 for our broken TV. That's what they're covering us for... $91.00 and a broken TV. SO JUST BECAUSE THEY SAY THEY WILL COVER YOUR GOODS, DOESN'T MEAN IT WILL BE AT A FAIR PRICE. Keep that in mind. Let that sink in, and think of anything expensive in your house that you would be really ticked off to have them break and only pay you pennies on the dollar per pound.
Better yet, just go ahead and enlist your buddies to help you move, the good old fashioned way, because your drunk buddies will take better care of your stuff than a company who knows it will only have to pay out $0.61 a pound for anything their "professional" movers break.
- Pros: Showed up early
- Cons: Unprofessional, uncaring, poor customer service
