Best of the Best!!!

I have been going to Anderson's BBQ for over 18 years. I go no where else for my bbq needs while in the DFW area. Mike Anderson makes your sandwich for you himself and then sends you on "down the road" to help yourself to the most amazing sides you could ever put in your mouth! Go around 11 or even 10:45 so you can to beat the line that goes out the door, that's how good this place is. I still do not understand why people go to the other bbq place(SB) around the corner, talk about rude service and they are skimmpy on the sides.

To comment about Mike being rude......I have never seen anything but a smile on his face in the 18 years I have known him and I have become friends with him as have 1000's of others. He owns this place , yet he is there day after day serving us the best bbq in the world. That is RARE! to the guy who wrote that, if that story is true....Give Mike another chance and write that off, as he is Human, and we do have bad days. You do not know what he might have been going through that day or week. I'm sure you have blown up at people yourself. Your just hurting yourself, cause he really does not need you to succeed and your friends are more than likely already Mike Anderson customers....lol ( if they work around UTSW)

Very good BBQ that's NOT from a chain restauant!

There is a reason why this restaurant has a line out the door during lunch. The meats are very good and moist. They have a huge variety of sides which are very very good and it's a cafeteria style restaurant. The BBQ sauces are very tasty too. This restaurant is very homey and it can truly be seen as a TRUE TEXAS BBQ place.

Authentic Texas BBQ

I was in Dallas last year for work and I happened to stop at Mike Andersons BBQ for lunch. I knew I was in the right place for BBQ when I saw two things: 1.) A line that streched outside the front door, and 2.) cafeteria style!!!!! When I have to travel to Texas for work I am interested in two things: ribs and Texas smoked brisket and this was the jackpot at Mike Andersons! I tried a three meat combo of ribs, brisket and the sausage and all of it was amazing, besides the meat being smoked to perfection the BBQ sauce they serve was amazing! I have to go back to Dallas soon for work and I know without a doubt I will make a stop at Mike Andersons BBQ, and this time I'm taking a bottle of that BBQ sauce with me.

NOTE: I read the negative review and I have to say I think that person is just one of those people. I saw how busy this place is at lunch and they do their best to keep the line moving so everyone can have their lunch in a timely matter and get back to work. Sometimes you come upon that one special person who just doesn't get it and thinks that they deserve special treatment for their ten bucks. I really hope people can see past one moron and give this BBQ joint a try, you won't regret it. But if you go during lunch, be curtious and take a minute to read the menu before you get to the counter, I did (it was my 1st time there and common sense in a place that busy should tell you to be ready when you get to the counter to order) and had no problems.

I do not work for this restaurant not do I have any financial interest in them, I just know it is great BBQ and i you are a sensible person they are really great people to meet.

• Cons: none
