In Short – With programs designed for both business travelers and families, this property takes service seriously. Business travelers can take advantage of guest office rooms stocked with phone, fax and printer. For families, a kids' club provides coloring books, bath toys and a phone line dedicated to bedtime stories. All visitors are treated to signature Heavenly Beds with pillow-top mattresses, cushy down blankets and crisp white sheets ranging in thread count from 180 to 250.

Clean, but not disappointing for price
by remac at Citysearch
Room was large and very clean; somewhat outdated. Balcony room over parking lot was NOT a treat. Beds were comfortable. Seems to be older hotel. Valet and desk staff were very helpful Galleria access is convenient, and free self parking was easily accessed. Television system was in transition, so only a few channels were operational. Room service was EXPENSIVE. In room coffee pot did not work. For the price, would have expected free WiFi access and free access to refrigerator and/or microwave. Plumbing was loud and slow to fill tank. Hot water was adequate. Air conditioning was marginal. Doors were heavy and awkward to open for old ladies. Not customary Westin experience.
Wonderful ballroom gala
by leonor at Citysearch
We attended the Mexican Institute gala at the Westin Hotel's ballroom. We sat with a group of friends at a beautifuly decorated table. The four course meal consisted of: cream of corn soup, mixed greens salad, beef and fish entree with asparagus, grilled tomatoes, mushroom sauce and wild rice, creme brulee with mixed berrries dessert. Everything was delicious. My husband specially loved the dessert. The service we received was excellent (our server was Bertha).
The band was outstanding and the lead singer had a beautiful voice. We danced very comfortably as the dance floor was quite large. We have attended other galas that have smaller dance floors which inevitably become overcrowded. We all had a fantastic time. I can't say enough good things about the gala at the Westin Hotel. Excellent in every way.
Leonor Muller.
