Visited from Germany and it was very good!.
I visited this place while staying at my relatives and I must say I enjoyed it very very much. I had noticed that it was new and asked the chef. He kindly told us that they had done renovations and I liked them very much.
The fish was very fresh from what I can tell. The night before I had went to Bluefish and it was not as good. It was too commercial and the fish had the commercial taste.
I ordered the eel as well and it was very good. I do not know what solero's problem is. I personally think if you cannot eat raw fish, you should not even eat sushi. it is embarrassing.
Eel did not taste fresh.
I am in town on business and I went there because it was close to my hotel. I was a little nervous to go in as there were hardly any cars in the parking lot. A low number of customers and raw fish always make me a little quesy.
I ordered several sushi rolls with eel and tuna. The tuna rolls seemed fresh; however, there was something not right about the freshwater eel. It had a fishy taste and a bad aftertaste. I probably should not have eaten it but I was very hungry.
The waitress was very nice but I would be concerned about the freshness of some of their fish.
