Good job – Chachi's Mexican Restaurant definitely has some of the best food you will ever try. I have been here quite a few times, and have never been disappointed. Thanks for great food and service.

LOVE THIS PLACE...great atmosphere and amazing food – I have been here twice with my Fiance and we LOVE IT. Its not a cheap place but I think well worth every penney we spent. The first time we went there it was Valentine's Day and it was crazy busy!!!! It did take a little bit for us to get seated but I think it was other people being late and not really the restaurants fault. We had the souflee both times and they were to die for!!! The 2nd time we did not wait at all and the food was just as great as I had remembered it 6 months ago. If you can order some wine, I would highly recommend it there...reasonable prices and good service. I can't wait to go back!

Excellent Service and food – This is the best French restaurant in Dallas. I don't know what these other people are talking about. You must be the type of person that likes to complain a lot. Everytime I eat there, the food is excellent and the service, above par. Ask for Lisa next time and she will take good care of you.

Below average: service, food, ambiance(to much light) – I went there for Restaurant Week. My friends and I were very disappointed. The service was non-existence. The food was extremely disappointing.

It's restaurant week, for g-ds sake, show off some type of culinary skills.

I would not recommend this restaurant, there are to many other places to go to.

P.S. The place is in a strip mall, need I say anymore.

Wonderful Experiences Here – One of our favorite restaurants , unfortunately a charmless strip shopping center. They have done a nice job of making the patio as secluded from the parking lot as possible. Always reminds of us of our honeymoon in the South of France. The atmosphere is very familial and warm. Everytime we go, we just ask the waiter what he recommends for wine and we are treated to very reasonably prices gems. The food is delicious and comfortable - the beef stew is the perfect cold weather treat. I highly recommend Lavendou and have brought many friends to share in the experience.

Disappointing – On a Wednesday night visit , the service was the worst we have had in Dallas during the last five years

Country French bistro in a strip mall caters to the far North Dallas crowd. – The Scene
Toile upholstery, vibrant yellow and blue fabrics and red brick aspire to create intimacy in this cavernous space. However, a noisy kitchen and piped-in French pop music punctuated by the occasional "order's up" bell thwart attempts at quiet romance. Cutlery and glassware also fall short of elegant dining.

The Food
French owner of Uptown eatery Chez Gerard duplicates provincial French cuisine in this suburban outpost. The roasted duck with cassis sauce and wild rice is filling and flavorful. Salmon, sea scallops, shrimp and mussels tossed with tomato sauce and fettuccine are fresh. The world owes French pastry chefs a debt of gratitude for desserts such as the sampler plate with apricot, apple and chocolate tarts.

Snobsville – This is definitely a "stuffy/snobby place". They seat customers here by what you wear. Furs and leather jackets got seated in the back of the restaurant. Those of us who were casual dressers were all were seated in the front near the window. This was a Saturday night at 6:30PM, we had reservations and they were not full. Our server came up to us, NEVER told us about the night's specials and brought out a wrong entree - casually apologizing. The bus servers weren't much better as they filled one glass with water, but not the other person's glass. The Roasted Duck was outstanding in all of this mess. We will not go back.
