The Scene – Iron- and gold-colored glass fixtures cast a low-lit glow over the dark-wood interior. A bold, busy mural above the kitchen adds some personality. The staff is unobtrusive and knowledgeable. – – The Food – Sesame-seared ahi tuna appetizer is colorfully presented on a bed of crisp Asian slaw with wasabi and pickled ginger on the side. Salmon is deliciously smoked and served with remoulade, capers, red onion and crostinis. Pistachio-crusted mahi mahi has a delicate crust and mild, sweet taste. The accompanying sweet-potato puree is an unexpected and excellent…

5 STARS ! ! !

by VBeach at Citysearch

I've been coming to Dallas on business for a while now and have heard about Maguire's but have always been on the other side of town. This trip I made it and it was everything I had heard. The atmosphere was great (love the large mural over the kitchen), the service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. The wine list is extensive and appreciated the server's recommendation for wine pairing for my perfectly cooked mahi mahi - light, moist, delicious! The pricepoint is also surprisingly low for this caliber of restaurant. Sorry it took so long for me to get to Maguire's and you can be sure I'll never get to Dallas again without eating at Maguire's! Thanks again for the incredible meal and 5 star service.

Worst "Fine Dining" experience ever

by SandyH2O at Citysearch

This place is a joke and a rip off, having been heavily involved in culinary art and fine cuisine. This place is bland, waaay overpriced and the service needs some serious attention. NEVER going back even with the lame FREE VALET COUPON! that's a joke also please stop it.

  • Pros: free valet!
  • Cons: everything else.

EXCEPTIONAL!!!

by Foody Guy at Citysearch

We've been dozens of times, and we'll go dozens more. They have done a really wonderful job with this restaurant. The fresh new look and the new menu are extremely enjoyable. Very happy to see some of the menu's best items have stayed, while the new additions are equally delicious! I've had almost everything on the menu, and without exception, all are worth recommending. The halibut and Maguire's Salad are a MUST! Kudos to the staff and owners at Maguire's! Their passionate devotion to exceptional food, service and astmosphere keep us coming back for more!

  • Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere!
  • Cons: Distance . . . we need a Maguire's in Austin!

Great Food, Great Atmosphere

by mustang93 at Citysearch

My wife and I ate at Maguire's last Friday for the first time since they remodeled. The food was as good as ever, and the update looks great. My wife had the fish special, and I had the beef. Both were excellent. Like everyone else in town, they had taken tomatoes off of the menu, so we tried the bbq chicken flat-bread for the first time (we've gotten the southwest flat-bread before). It was outstanding, too. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and we had a wonderful time. We will be returning soon. Highly recommended in all regards.

  • Pros: Food quality, service, atmosphere
  • Cons: None
