This 277-acre park east of downtown is known for many Texas-sized accomplishments. Boasting the largest collection of art deco exposition buildings in the United States, the Hall of State among them highlights the 1936 building of the park grounds for the Texas Centennial Exposition. Today, the Texas Star is the largest ferris wheel in North America. During the State Fair, Big Tex stands 52 feet tall in the largest pair of boots around.
