Great hotel, best guest service in Dallas - they really care about the guests!

by buztravel80

This is, no contest, the BEST hotel in Dallas! I've stayed at the W and the ZaZa and you can't swap cool for genuine customer service. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome- from the manager at the front door welcoming us as we checked in, to the-free!-champagne service in the lobby in the afternoon, the details were awesome! They have a new spa that we tried out called Mokara (?) where we had the best massages ever, and then dinner at Trevi's overlooking the water was BEAUTIFUL. Loved the small details and personal attention. We have told all our friends and will be back with family next time. LOVE IT!!!

  • Pros: Great staff, spa, food at restaurant, beautiful views
  • Cons: nothing!!!!

5 Star Hotel and Service with a 4 Star Price

by rcam

This hotel is truly charming with a courteous and gracious staff, wonderful guestrooms and great location if you need to be in the Irving Area. My room was comfortable, well appointed and clean! The housekeepers noticed that I drank only regular coffee, and each day they made sure I had plenty and even left me a note wishing me a productive day. My only regret is that I did not have time to visit the Spa, maybe next time.

rocks in the pillows?

by nikkipink

i have stayed at the omni many times. let me just warn you how loud it is in the rooms. no matter where you are in the hotel, it will be the loudest hotel room imaginable. you hear doors slamming, maids knocking, more doors slamming, water clunking through old pipes, elevator dings, neighbor's phones, etc. etc. etc. when you look at the drapes and the bedspreads you think they are from the seventies they are so old and worn looking. then the pillows, no matter how many you have in your room, they ALL feel like they literally have rocks in them. you are better off sleeping outside. it will be a lot more peaceful. want to enjoythe mandalay? go play around the hotel & enjoy downtown las colinas on foot... just sleep somewhere else if you actually want to sleep at night or past 7 a.m.

  • Pros: the canal, canal views, location
  • Cons: disruptively loud, awful pillows, ugly room decor

A touch of the Far East makes for a popular destination for business travelers.

The Scene
Designed to feel like a Burmese city, this property's use of Oriental decor and exotic plants makes visitors feel as if they've checked into a hotel in Asia. In reality, Irving is only 15 minutes from Dallas. Texas Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys, is a few miles away and within a half-hour drive, guests will find many of the attractions of Dallas and Fort Worth.

The Details
Decorated with traditional Asian touches, each of the 421 guest rooms is elegant and striking. Furnished in dark woods and tones of rich red and gold, the rooms boast marble bathrooms with terry cloth robes, refreshment centers and high-speed wireless Internet service. A lakeside swimming pool offers refreshment, and workout options include a fitness center and jogging trail. Young guests enjoy the children's playground, while adults can utilize the in-house masseuse.
