Avoid highlights by Rik

To be perfectly honest, I was recommended to Rik by one of his longtime clients, which has beautiful hair but a solid color. I went looking for someone the was up on the current trends as far as highlighting goes. The highlights looked good the first time but then after the second or third time, my hair looked like 3 different layers of color! Rik corrected the highlights after my first concern. The next two sessions were acceptable. And then the rainbow striked again. You would think that some who proclaims to be a trendy colorist would know the proper way to highlight, especially at his prices!

Best Ever!!

I get compliments constantly on my hair. Always great. Heather really takes care of me, and the cost is far less than what I was paying at Osgood O'Neil. I have thick, wavy hair and it comes out looking fantastic - professional and a little edgy - each time. So happy to finally have found someone I can rely on!

trendy, comfortable and fun!!

I went to rik tatum salon for the first time a last year and loved it.. My hairdresser rik did an amazing job not to mention the cut from mrs. heather tatum was flawless!!! My color was outstanding everytime and i had a really great time.. Most of all (besides the beautiful hair that i have) i love MIMOSA SATURDAYS!! They have breakfast and mimosas all day long also pizza at lunch for the clients. it was an overall relaxing and fun time and i left feeling and looking 10 years younger!!!!!

Worse Salon in Irving

Many salons have I visited over the years, but none left me with the bad taste as Rik Tatum Salon. The staff are very unprofessional, loud, and my color and cut were awful..I had to ask a friend if she would call her stylists to fit me in to correct the mess. There is one tall red headed guy that is the most rude, and believes he is being witty, but in reality a very big bore!!

I would not recommend this salon to my worst enemy.
