Oneof the Best steaks i have ever tasted.
by salsrock
I have ate in many restaurants from coast to coast and this place has to have some of the best steaks. the taste was perfect,(of course no sauce needed) and the sides were wonderful. The atmosphere was very upper class feel and the bar scene was very casual/business feel. the mix drinks we had were exceptional. We spent over $120 for two of us, but it was well worth it. Make reservations because you will need them. Leave the kids at home, because this place is built for one thing only ADULTS. Romantic place for you and your loved one.
glad i finally tried it

with all the steakhouses in DFW it's hard to try all of them. if you haven't tried perry's yet, maybe it's time. the filet and lobster we had were both of very high quality, and the tuna tartare appetizer had kind of a "volcano roll" flavor. if you're ordering wine i would suggest you go by the bottle (the list is extensive but not overwhelming) since the markup on glasses and 1/2 bottles is significantly higher compared to most i've seen.
- Pros: high quality steak and seafood
- Cons: definitely not a budget buy but priced similar to other high-end steakhouses
Bland food, Bland service
by TXCHIC4
The waiter was fine at getting us what we needed but didn't show any personality at all. The food was bland and tasted flat no matter how much pepper I added at the table. The mushrooms tasted like they were only flavored with brown gravy. If you go here I suggest ordering the items that require just butter such as the king crab legs. The restaurant was very noisy and it lacked any sort of romantic ambiance.
- Pros: Price range was expected for serving size.
- Cons: Bland food and service.
Awesome!

Our first time experience to this restaurant was absolutely the best. From the delicious appetizer to the entree, our plates were filled with food. My husband got the famous Chicken fried steak and it filled his plate, it was cooked to perfection as was my tilapia with fresh melted mozzarella cheese covered tomatoes in a light sauce. The service was impeccable and attentive, and the staff is very knowledgable on all of the items. We were so full but had to try one of the scrumptious deserts, being the warm melt in your mouth carrot cake. They have a wonderful wine list and the atmosphere is very relaxing. We will be back for sure, and can't wait to try the other wonderful items on the menu. This is definately worth the money.
- Pros: Food, service, atmosphere
- Cons: none
Meal cooked incorrectly and service was a train wreck
by mls1221
I had visited Del Frisco's prior to Perry's so the comparison was inevitable. Unfortunately, Perry's fell short in my opinion. My visit was before the holidays, so they were quite busy which might have been a contributing factor to the evening.
Our waitress was a train wreck. As she handed the menus to us and taking our drink order, her hands were filled with wine glasses. They constantly clinked together that we asked her to put them down because one, it was making us nervous that she was going to drop them and two, it was distracting. She disappeared for a while and when she returned gave us her recommendations after we had already decided what we were having.
The table behind us had the same waitress and were upset from their service as well and asked to speak to the manager.
I asked for my filet to be cooked rare and it showed up medium. The sides I shared with friends were delicious (mac & cheese and corn) but I was very disappointed about the entire evening. It's easy to pay for that kind of meal when it's a great experience (like Del Frisco's) but it was painful to pay for the meal at Perry's.

the entire evening was great. the service, the food, the atmosphere. I took my husband there for his birhtday and was extremely pleased with the whole experience. The staff was wonderful, the food was excellent and was brought out with perfect timing. i can't wait to return.

- Cons: none
Great Steak and Ambience.
by cdinsmore
The service here has been great here everytime we have visited. This is my wife's favorite place to eat. I always get a delicous steak here. The steaks are very high quality with great flavor. I wasn't found of the lamb that I tried once. My wife has to order a side of their Mac and Cheese every time we go. They have a good wine list. The restaurant has a romantic feeling to it, especially if you get a booth. I usually try to request one when I make a reservation.
- Pros: Ambience, Service, Food
- Cons: Parking
Since opening in 2001, this uptown steakhouse on Routh Street has been one of the most popular in town.

The Scene
Perry's is gently lit with snappy contemporary jazz playing softly overhead. Split into three separate dining areas, the main dining room is full of tables for four, with single shaded candle lights. The room is flanked on either side by a pavilion lined with majestic booths and a smaller area that is blocked off with stylish wood-wicker folded partitions. A sharp waitstaff practices timely etiquette and is quick with the crumbler.
The Food
The stuffed mushrooms with crab are a good starter, with spinach salad doused in a vinaigrette. The rib eye has a flavorful peppery rub and blackened charbroil that seals in a savory flavor. A rosemary glaze on the thick cut of domestic lamb is tantalizing. The 18-ounce New York strip also has a perfectly seared, crisp exterior with a delectably tender, pink inside. The cheddar-smothered potatoes au gratin is a popular side.
