Great date spot. I went to CRU to meet some girls for drinks a few weeks ago. The place is small but cozy. The prices are decent for what your getting. It had a really nice atmosphere, but I think it would be better for a date than for happy hours.…
Best Atmosphere. I love Wine Bars, but this was beyond my expectation of a wine bar. My husband and the other couple we were with had a great first impression! The atmosphere was great. It was dark with lots of candle light. We sat in the "half" booth in the corner, which was perfect. I love wine, but I don't know that much about it, so the wine flights are the best. The variety is wonderful. I suggest the Champagne flight! My food was tasty: steak with potatoes and mushrooms. My husband did not like his Kobe Steak. He said it was cold. He thought there should be more food for the price. I thought the portions were perfect. He said, "the Pinot Noir was the best he had ever had." Its pricey, but worth it.…
Great Wine Bar. Service is amazing, they definetly know what they are talking about. The patio is a great place to sit and enjoy good wine and some cheese. The make up on the wine is pretty much standard, but they do offer some great selections by the glass. The menu is actually very good. The potstickers are great. I also tried the scallops and loved those. This is one my favorite places in Dallas. Too bad they don't take reservations.…
Wine to warm up your sense. Cru is a Dallas treasure. They have a knowledgeable staff and serve great food and wine. The food has really improved over the last year and includes some excellend fish (e.g., Salmon with Lentils). The wine is served at the right temperature which greatly adds to the enjoyment. Average IQ of customers is slightly higher than average : ) Some glasses can be quite pricey, but there are good values to be had. Sunday night is half priced wine bottle night. Music selections are pretty hip as well (e.g., Portishead)…
There's a gourmet menu, but reds, whites and blushes take the spotlight in this trendy, romantic West Village wine bar..
In Short
A candle flickering on every table reflects the romantic aura created by wine label murals, red paper lamps hanging over the mahogany bar and an entire wall of bottle cubbies. Even
designer dishes including blue crab cakes, pan-seared duck and Chilean sea bass take a back seat to the wine at this elegant locale. More than 500 wines can be ordered by the bottle, glass or flight--a taste of three related wines.…
