Horrible Experience
by aprpril at Citysearch
I'm from Austin and planned on a trip to Dallas for a Radiohead show. I was recommended to the Westin and got a great deal off of Hotwire. Arriving there I received excellent service from the valet guys, but as I got inside to check in the respect button was turned off. The men and especially women working the front desk treated me as if I were bothering them. I let it all go until time of checkout. Now keep in mind that I was at a RADIOHEAD concert that included sitting on the grass surrounded by people chain smoking multiple things. I smelled horrible after the concert. I was told at the time of check out that I was going to be charged $200 for a smoking fee and that there was reported smoke coming from underneath my room.? I tried to explain that my clothes were the problem but they did not care for a second and became very dramatic in the explanation of the condition of the room. I'm now having to fight this $200 charge and deal with the Westin US reps. I do NOT recommend ever staying here. And if there was smoke coming out from underneath my room door I would hope and expect that the hotel staff would call the fire department or try to see what could have possibly been burning had there actually been smoke coming from underneath the door. hmmm....
awful customer service

I was referred by a few people to stay in this particular Westin. the Facility was beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The vallet were all helpful and nice. When it came to all the other people in the hotel, it was a nightmare- the front deskmen were snooty and arrogant and the customer service was the worst i have ever experienced in my entire life.\ I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
