One of a Kind

Our recent experience at this restaurant was superb. I would rate this equal to the best meal I have ever had. I eat at lots of excellent restaurants so this is a high compliment from me. The food was superb and the service perfect, attentive, never annoying. All our needs were anticipated. The restaurant was quiet and you did not have to listen to every other table's discussion. I just can't say enough good about this place.

The Scene
Louis XIV would have loved it here. A moss-green velvet couch and heavy damask chairs decorate one parlor room. Gilded mirrors, a baroque chandelier and an ornate fireplace turn another room into a French salon. The dining area, replete with French windows and a stunning courtyard view, cocoons diners in beautiful lighting. Servers present each course with precision.

The Food
Sumptuous fare in discrete portions is a hallmark, and with good reason: There are seven courses. A small disc of seared foie gras on crisp cinnamon bread with peaches and raisins is a rapturous combination that dissolves on the tongue. An exquisitely roasted sea bass fillet rests on a luxurious fried eggplant. Lamb loin accompanies an aromatic risotto that bursts with basil. Potato, leek and Gruyere nearly outshine prime beef tenderloin. Diners with a sweet tooth should save room for the cream and strawberry dessert.
