from the moment you are greeted at the door to the compliments of the chef at closing, nothing makes you feel more at home than porta di romas. not to mention the luscious kristina one can never get enough of, on display is art by demi and the prices are uncanningly reasonable...entries range from my favorite pollo de la casa to any veal canneloni and the caeser salad is exquisite the bread is soft and brushed with butter and always served piping hot, ask for some garlic butter or pesto to dip it in. delicious. save some room for the homemade tiramasu or spumoni ice cream and savor each delectable bite of all sauces which are made over a three day process. you will leave happy and you will never forget the legendary family at porta's because when you are there you are just like one of the family! O and if you get the supreme pizza x-tra large, add meat balls! it will knock your socks off, or at least your trouser button! ba ha.

New Late Night Hours

Porta di Roma is open downtown Dallas for lunch, happy hour, dinner and now late night. The Late night menu has pizza made fresh by the owner, appetizers and desserts. A beautiful new neighborhood bar and restaurant. Friendly staff who knows almost everyone by name however, if you don't want too much attention you can be seated in the semi-private room where Britney Spears was just spotted with babies, boyfriend , body guards and red baby stroller.

My friend brought his favorite DJ and had his birthday party here at PDR last week. There is enough room in the restaurant for parties and holiday functions. I live downtown at The Mercantile Place and I am thrilled there is another fun place open late with food, sports and laughs.

• Pros: Awesome Pizza till midnight and 2am on Fri. & Sat.

I'll have a stomach ache for lunch

My husband and I had a late lunch in this restaurant during the week while on business in Dallas. I have no complaints about the atmosphere, service, etc. I do, however, have complaints about being fed a salad that had been on display on the counter after one of the employees failed to bring me a salad along with my husband's. I also have complaints about the stomach cramps and sickness that I endured the rest of the day. In fact, I am writing this late at night because I am unable to sleep due to the discomfort caused by eating at this restaurant. We will never eat there again.

Great Service-Great Food

My husband and I just moved to downtown Dallas, and we LOVE this place! They have great prices and service that cannot be beat. The alfredo is wonderful and so is the wine! A must try.

mention citysearch anfd they will give you free delivery and $2.00 off your delivery ;) This is a great place! I say just go and taste for your self.... I live downtown and eat here all of the time! Yummmmm. They beat the pants off anything else downtown and my godmother owns a italian restaurant, so I KNOW Italian!.

Wonderful Italian Cuisine (Plano Location)

This review is for the Downtown Plano location at 1410 Ave K. This is by far the best Italian restaurant that I have eaten at, leaving the nearby chains in the dust. I have tried a number of their dishes from salads to ravioli, and they were all good. The pizza, though, is truly spectacular. If you appreciate low light, a relaxing atmosphere, delicious food, and curteous, attentive service you should definitely check Porta di Roma out.
