My hubby and I took some friends here after the resturant we were going to shut down. Driving by we noticed this place and my husband being from England wanted to stop. IT WAS GREAT! Food service and ambience! We will return!!!

I dig it! Good drinks and bartenders...Gets packed...Very fun...Young professionals - thank goodness...Oh, did I mention - cute guys?!

Great Beer / Great Dallas Pub

This is a true Irish Pub in the heart of uptown Dallas. It has a very comfortable bar and the food choices are great. Everyone in the bar was super friendly and the berr selection was great! I have found a new water hole and cannot wait until a Friday night to sip a pint with my wife and some friends.

Great Place step inside and see for yourself.

• Cons: Sign makes you think of uppercrust snobs.

In Short
History and relaxation brew from the dark wood interior with splashes of tile imported from Ireland. Large black chalkboards with colorful lists of European beers and items like Guinness pie have the eclectic after-work and late night crowd salivating. Opposed to some Uptown digs, this bar doesn't sneer at any walk of life as long as there's an appreciation for single malt scotch and fish and chips. If drinks are not the only thing on tap for a visit, pool and darts keep the volumous crowd entertained.

Hit: The list of draught, bottled and ciders offers a cultured pallat a new experience.

Miss: If you're a fan of the food and drink but not of smoke, there is little escape.

Great pub, Great food, Great service!

The idle rich pub is exactly what the irish pub was meant to be! With tons of beer on tap, even more unique beer bottled, and special frou frou drinks for us girls, this place has something for everyone. Not to mention the bar food is great, you have some of the old fashioned irish food (split pea soup and fish and chips) and great french fries and burgers. But best of all is the service. Friendly, and funny, be sure to ask for Kelly the waitress or Wes the bartender. Both will steer you in the right direction for a good drink... and will even make you laugh in the process. Cheers!

a pub in uptown

i have visited many times. informed attractive staff, great beer and drink selections. only found out recently that it is the same owners as old monk - makes sense, quality with a hip laid back vibe. bit more of a singles scene late than the monk. a welcome addition to my neighborhood. good looking pub food but i havent tried it yet.
