Texasian food. Yum-O! No wonder Rachael Ray liked this place so much.

What a great experience. Everything I ordered was an event. The menu is a blend of Asian food and TexMex, hence the word "Texasian." For example, the potstickers are filled with brisket instead of the traditional pork or chicken. And the sushi had cream cheese and jalapenos. If you order one thing, get the brisket potstickers. Another notable item is the pumpkin seed ravioli. This is one of my favorite places I've tried in all of Dallas. Trendy atmosphere. Friendly, helpful service. The manager even helped me with directions over the phone! And when the bill came, we were pleasantly surprised with most of our dishes being half price! This restaurant is highly recommended.

industrial goodness

Fuse did not quite live up to all the hype on the Food Network on our visit but it was still a good experience overall. The standouts included the brisket potstickers and the Russian roll (no longer on the menu but you can still order it), and the Chili Scented Edamame had a unique spicy kick. The service was a bit sluggish, but that was more their loss than ours - we were able to talk ourselves out of a couple of "impulse buys" (bottle of wine, additional entree) between table visits!

• Pros: ambience, creative menu, pickled ginger (random but true)

Hip, beautiful sushi spot....

I actually hosted a party on the rooftop of this gorgeous restuarant for the practice I work for, and it was a fantastic locale for entertaining or just enjoying a drink and some sushi! My favorites: chili scented edimame, braised brisket potstickers (I could eat a whole plate of these!), parmesan risotto appetizer, sake (dangerously smooth), petit fours (catered only), and the Downtown Roll (amazing!). So so: vegetable rolls (upgrade to the Green Rolls if you want veggie sushi). Be advised that Fuse charges $5 for valet parking, which doesn't start until 6pm. (You can park in the pay lot next door, but it closes its gates around 10pm or so...learned that the hard way, so pay attention to the signage.) Very cool, hip place to check out with colleagues or friends. Young, beautiful crowd. Cool bar area. Beautiful, romantic patio for happy hour or dinner. Worth checking out, especially the rooftop on a nice night.

Great outdoor ambience!

This was my first time at fuse and I really enjoyed it. Definitely sit outside on the patio and you will be impressed with the feel it gives! We didn't go there to dine...we ended up trying two appitizers: Tempura Shrimp Roll was GREAT(Highly recommended)! and the Sweet corn Ravioli.(..was good, but not worth the price). I had the Apple Pear Martini and was hooked from the first sip...a must have!

I really don't think I would ever go there just to dine. I like the decor in the place, but didn't get a great feel inside....the patio is the only way to go! (And if you're adventurous, bring your swimsuits to lounge in the swimming pool or jacuzzi!

I tried to be impressed...

I love the look of this place. Very sleek and a great use of a non-traditional space. The first time I dined there in what used to be the elevator shaft, I believe. Unfortunately, the food is not what I hoped it would be.

On my first visit we had three sushi rolls and the potstickers. I was most impressed on this visit. The food was visually terrific and the tast was satisfying. On my second visit, we both at the balanced plates. This, I was not so impressed with. The flavors were not distictive and the portions were very small. The plate was not so elegantly arranged as the sushi and the food seemed a little lost and tiny on the big plate. My final visit was take out, since I work a block away. I had the California roll and the Sliders (tiny burgers with carmelized onion). The Sliders were dry and the California roll was fine, but nothing special.

Unfortunately, when I am more excited by the decor than the food, I really can't recommend the restaurant for more than a few drinks. Maybe I'll go visit the patio or give it a whirl at the bar. Maybe drinking is better than eating at Fuse.

• Cons: Food... maybe I haven't tried the right things...

Amazing, affordable cuisine

Extremely knowledgable and polite staff. Excellent sushi rolls. The potsticker appetizer is delicious. The atmosphere is so fun, patio seating is the BEST!! VERY AFFORDABLE and reasonably priced. One of my favorite Downtown spots!

Great

Fuse was an all around great dining experience. We slipped in as they opened one night this fall, and the service was fantastic. The Eel sushi was on par with Dallas' best, and the night's special (an edamame ravioli) was incredible. Deserts are great, too, but the real star here is the atmosphere. Great. Try to get a patio seat if at all possible, but the inside seating is almost as good. And they put cucumber in the water!

• Pros: delicious, great atmosphere, good service
• Cons: expensive, slightly slow
