I do not recommend Dr.Boothe, I wish I would have gone to Tylock

I had the worst experience at Dr. Boothe's office. They are very impersonal. The staff is rude. I almost left because of one of their staff members and found out that everyone else felt the same about this lady. They should make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I think it has become so commercialized with trying to make as much money as he can that they don't make you feel special at all. I bet over 200 clients came in that day or probably more than that. You are treated like a car on an assembly line. Oh, and I got yelled at because I had my eyes open when they were working on another guy's eyes.......literally was yelled at. If they don't want me to look, then stick me in another room. I payed $3500..... I will do what I want. This guy was about 20 yrs old who yelled at me. I am in the customer business and this was by far the worst eperience I have ever had with a doctor. I would go to Dr. Tylock because he is all about being personal and one on one. The only reason I went to Boothe was because he was offering 24 months/no interest. THE ONLY REASON!!!!! Also, they make you sign a waiver stating that you might still have to wear glasses after the lasik. Hey, the whole purpose was to not wear glasses. I didn't sign it because I am not going to pay $3500 to still wear glasses. Just do your homework on this. He's not the only doctor.

Dr. Tylock has a lot of experience also.

• Cons: long waiting time- plan on 6 hrs of wasted time;rude staff; impersonal !!!!!!!

Improved quality of life

Before I had surgery I could not see anything without my glasses. The day of the surgery I could already see without them and it just got better from there.

The surgery was virtually painless and short. It all went by very fast.

Put at Ease

Dr. Boothe's demeanor help put me at ease for a procedure that I was extremely nervous about. Just the thought of someone doing any kind work on my eyes made me very squeamish. I was never able to put in contacts due to this so I always have worn glasses. His staff answered all my questions and was very reassuring during the surgery. I would recommend him to any one looking to have a good experience with their lasik procedure.

terrible result

I would give 0 stars if the computer would let me! My husband and I both went to Dr. Boothe and has lasik completed in the year 2001. We asked about long-term results and were told by Dr. Boothe's staff that we "may need glasses in about 20 years to read." In just a few short years, neither one of us can see very well (even the television) and must wear contacts.

I contacted Dr. Boothe's office a few years ago (about 2005) and asked what could be done. I was told that we could come in and see if we could have the procedure re-done, but would still have to pay. Thanks a lot for nothing!

A total waste of money...about $6K. We also referred many of our friends shortly after the procedure but they are having the same results we are. Thanks for nothing Dr. Boothe.

I had a great experience all the way around. From the staff to the doctor to the surgery everything was great. All my questions were answered and the price was very good. I had my surgery with no problems at all and I now see 20/15.

Absolutely life changing

I had my eye surgery, and absolutely love it. I think that is a surgery that you can SEE results from immediately and a short recovery period. I think it is absolutely life changing! I would do it all over again in a second. Dr Boothe has done a lot of them and he knows what he is doing. The speed and efficiency at which he performed my surgery showed this. The staff was great.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Boothe. His staff was very professional and accommodating. I was quite nervous about the surgery before my initial consultation, but Dr. Boothe and his team quickly put my nerves to rest. I was very surprised at how quick and easy the recovery was and my vision is now at 20/20. Dr. Boothe was very thorough and professional and I highly recommend him. I conducted a lot of research before choosing Dr. Boothe and I am very glad that I did since he was the right fit.

• Cons: None- I only wish that I had done it sooner.

Great Experience

Prior to visiting Dr. Boothe I had horrible vision. After my consulation I was highly impressed with the level of professionalism and the kind and reassuring team. I felt much more confident with proceeding with this risky surgery. Now my vision is 20/20 (and can even drive in the dark!) and I am eternally grateful to Dr. Boothe and his wonderful team for giving me a new outlook on life!

Unbelievable results

I was very nervous about getting my eyes fixed, but a lot of research and some time to calm my nerves I decided to move forward with the surgery. I absolutely regret waiting as long as I did. Everything was very straight forward and I had no pain or problems during or after the surgery. The staff was great and helpful. I can now see 20/15.

Quite an experience

Dr. Boothe redid ("enhanced') my procedure three or four times. Each event involved incredible waits. He once took a two-hour nap when I was there for a recheck. He berated employees in front of me. People don't work there long. His all-male surgery tech staff must have incredibly thick hides.

I have no complaint about the amount of face-time I had with Dr. Boothe. He is extremely thorough. Pre-op, his staff quoted me a price for the deluxe surgery. I told Dr. B. that I couldn't afford to pay that much. He reduced it by $1000.

He overbooks, schedules surgery at a designated time. and then gets to it five hours later, etc. Eacn followup appointment takes hours. Would I go there again? No.

• Pros: 20/50 vision instead of 50/50
• Cons: Incredible waiting times, bizarre personalities

My cousin had his surgery done here and was very happy with the experience and the results. I decided to go in for a consultation and was happy with the staff and their evaluation of my needs. I decided to move forward with the surgery. I was completely comfortable and never had an issue throughout and I now have 20/15 vision.
